| 2025 | $63,397 | $62,763 – $66,168 |
| 2024 | $55,956 | $55,956 – $59,533 |

The Mercedes-Benz CLE stands out for its stylish design, easy-to-use technology, and excellent ride-and-handling balance in the CLE 53. 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
What should I look for when buying a used Mercedes-Benz CLE?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 96.6% |
| 2025 | 96.3% |
| 2024 | 95.4% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Driver Assistance Package
- Infotainment: standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Fuel efficiency: 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined
Which Mercedes-Benz CLE trim should I buy?
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLE offers these trims:
- CLE 300 4Matic: The entry point for buyers who want the CLE’s style and premium feel at the lowest starting price mentioned in the expert data.
- CLE 450 4Matic: A step up for shoppers who want more power and a stronger all-around luxury-performance balance.
- CLE 53: The standout choice for buyers who want the most performance, with 443 horsepower, rear-axle steering, adaptive dampers, and the best ride-and-handling balance in the expert review. It’s the best-value trim if you want the CLE’s defining character at its most complete.
What Mercedes-Benz CLE do most buyers choose?
The Mercedes-Benz CLE years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 673 | 32.2% |
| 2024 | 434 | 31.6% |
| 2026 | 408 | 32.4% |
| 2027 | 241 | 33.2% |
Higher-volume years usually give you more choices in color, mileage, and equipment, which makes it easier to compare listings and find the right match. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop if you want a broad mix of prices and deal quality.
What is the Mercedes-Benz CLE's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | $55,956 | −4.0% |
| 2025 | $63,397 | −3.14% |
Both model years show price declines, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The changes are fairly close, so neither year is holding value dramatically better than the other. That makes the CLE a model where recent used prices have softened enough to create buying opportunities.
The 2025 and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Mercedes-Benz CLE safe?
- 2026: 7/10
- 2025: 7/10
- 2024: 7/10
The 2026 model includes the Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control, active blind-spot monitors, intersection assist, automatic lane-change capability, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and evasive steering assist.
For the safest used buy, the 2024, 2025 and 2026 models all post the highest confirmed score of 7/10.
Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz CLE now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −3.14% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −4.0%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32.2% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 31.6%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $63,397. The Mercedes-Benz CLE offers a stylish, upscale coupe-and-convertible character with a premium cabin and a strong sense of occasion.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The CLE 53 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that generates 443 horsepower and a standard 413 pound-feet of torque that can ramp up to 443 lb-ft for 10-second boosts.
- Tech: It gets a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
- Safety: The latest model adds adaptive cruise control, active blind-spot monitors, intersection assist, automatic lane-change capability, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and evasive steering assist.
- Starting price: The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 coupe starts at $77,650, including a $1,350 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Mercedes-Benz CLE test drive
overall
Mercedes’ rationalized coupe and convertible lineup still delivers a premium experience.
We can’t have all the nice things, but we can have some of them. Until 2023, Mercedes-Benz offered both the midsize E-Class and the compact C-Class as coupes and convertibles alongside the meat-and-potatoes sedans. But lagging sales prompted the manufacturer to consolidate those lines into a single model called CLE. The new cars are the size of the E-Class but essentially use the ever-so-slightly less premium C-Class interior.
Every CLE performs well, but the AMG 53 model turns up the wick on power and handling. It tops the lineup until a CLE 63 arrives, and wears the duds of the AMG lineup without becoming a hardcore track car. Basically, it’s a finely tuned grand tourer that works for a weekend away in the mountains or as an everyday driver. We drove the AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet and found it a treat to still have at least some nice things.
Verdict: The CLE 53 is a stylish convertible that’s great to drive, but the experience doesn’t come cheap.
