Customer summary
The Mazda MAZDA3 has consistently impressed owners across its model years, earning praise for its sporty design, upscale interior, and engaging driving experience. Drivers love the vehicle's exceptional fuel efficiency and responsive handling, often describing it as fun to drive. However, some have expressed concerns about the lack of certain modern features, limited cargo space, and underwhelming engine power in some models. Overall, the MAZDA3 is seen as a stylish, reliable choice in the compact car segment.

Exceptional driving experience. The most balanced, precision crafted steering wheel system of any cars I have ever owned (25 of them). Drives better than most acclaimed German machines out there.Mazda cars are very enjoyable to drive, yet these models are ones of the most underrated and undervalued vehicles yet. Amazing Mazda vehicles. They're excellent values, but folks have to give Mazda cars chances. Drive one. The issues I have with the current models are: 1). There's no 6 Speed Manual with the 2.5 Turbo AWD Premium Plus trim models. 2). Please, bring CD ( Compact Disc) entertainment back in all Mazdas. 3). Add colors to the interior design. It's too bland, monotonous, monochromatic, and boring. The only comparisons out there to the superb driving of Mazda vehicles are Nissan Altima SR, Audi S3 and BMW M340.

Excellent value. You only have to move up one trim level from the base to get leatherette seats. All the safety features. I was comparing against a Honda Civic and a Toyota Corolla. This was clearly the better deal.

I love all of the new features this car has, compared to my 2019 Mazda 3 Select. It’s a lot more updated than I expected! I think the value of this car is very good. The only thing I would say this car is missing are, better speakers/sound adjustment settings. The older more basic version had it, but this new one doesn’t, which is odd to me. But overall, I love the car so far and it is worth the value.

Mazda MAZDA3 test drive
overall
The Mazda 3 brings style and athleticism to an otherwise boring class.
Compact sedans are some of the most affordable vehicles today, which often leads to cheaper interiors, disappointing performance, and uninspired styling. The 2026 Mazda 3 bucks that trend with a cabin that could easily be mistaken for entry-level luxury fare, a spirited driving experience, and head-turning style. The current-generation Mazda 3 debuted as a 2019 model, but despite its age few updates are expected for 2026.
Verdict: The Mazda 3 proves that small cars don’t have to be boring.
