What’s New for the 2023 Lincoln Navigator

The Navigator was completely redesigned in 2018. For 2022, it received some subtle styling updates and it carries over into 2023 largely unchanged.

Design

The Navigator was the vehicle that set the design language for the rest of the Lincoln lineup. It is the halo vehicle for the brand and brings together its imposing, upright grille, massive wheels, soft surface details, and chrome design elements. The Navigator is also offered in an extended wheelbase model called the Navigator L.

Powertrain

The Lincoln Navigator comes outfitted with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. It makes 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This engine routes power to the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the Navigator can tow up to 8,700 pounds. The RWD Navigator returns fuel economy of 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

Interior

Trims for the Navigator are Standard, Reserve, and Black Label. The Standard comes equipped with genuine leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, heated-and-ventilated front-row, and second-row seats, and power-folding rear seats.

Moving up to the Reserve adds a panoramic sunroof and 28-way power-adjustable front seats. The range-topping Black Label includes 30-way power adjustable futon seats with massaging functionality. The Black Label also includes a number of premium member concierge services and member services.

The Navigator boasts an impressive 103.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the second-and-third rows folded. The extended-wheelbase Navigator L manages to up that number to 120.2 cubic feet of cargo space. The Navigator also comes standard with a helpful hands-free power liftgate.

Technology

The Navigator comes standard with five USB ports, wireless device charging, a fully digital instrument panel, and an intuitive 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. A 14-speaker stereo comes standard on the Navigator. The Black Label comes equipped with a 28-speaker stereo system.

Safety

Lincoln provides a number of standard driver assistance features on the Navigator, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front-and-rear parking sensors. The Navigator is available with adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and a feature called ActiveGlide, which allows for partially autonomous driving in certain highway situations.

As of this writing, the base MSRP for the 2023 Lincoln Navigator is $79,725 for a Standard trim. The Reserve trim starts at $91,935 and the extended Reserve L starts at $94,965.
