Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0
• Infotainment: a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates it at 27 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined.

Which Lexus RX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid offers these trims:

• RX 500h F Sport Performance: This is the performance-focused trim, with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup, 366 horsepower, standard adaptive dampers, rear-axle steering, larger front brakes, and 21-inch wheels. It also adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, a standard head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. It suits you if you want the most power and the richest equipment.
• RX 350h: This is the value-oriented hybrid choice, with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder hybrid system, 246 hp, and AWD. It uses a conventional geared transmission in this generation and is the best-value trim for buyers who want the RX Hybrid’s core comfort and efficiency at a lower price point than the RX 500h.

What Lexus RX Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Lexus RX Hybrid years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare and a broader mix of prices and trims. That usually makes it easier to find a version that fits your budget and equipment needs.

What is the Lexus RX Hybrid's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The declines are strongest on several newer and mid-cycle years, while a couple of older years are edging upward instead.

The 2016 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2017, 2016, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Lexus RX Hybrid safe?

• 2026: 7/10
• 2025: 6/10
• 2023: 8/10

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard on the 2026 RX 500h, bringing forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, high-beam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and emergency steering assist.

For the safest used buy, the 2023 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

Should I buy a used Lexus RX Hybrid now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −3.78% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −6.75%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 35.9% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 36.8%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $55,790. The Lexus RX Hybrid offers a plush ride and a quiet interior that make it especially appealing for everyday luxury driving.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The RX 500h equals the power of some luxury crossover-SUV rivals but goes about it in a different way. It doesn’t use a turbocharged V6 to crank out its 366 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Instead, it goes with a four-cylinder engine and a hybrid system to make decent power balanced by good but not great fuel economy.
• Tech: The RX 500h is fitted with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen, along with a standard head-up display. The infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Lexus Intelligent Assist that allows drivers to use voice commands by saying “Hey Lexus.”
• Safety: Lexus equips the RX 500h with its Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of active safety features, which includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, high-beam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and emergency steering assist.
• Starting price: The RX 500h F Sport Performance starts at $67,650 including a $1,450 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
