Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0
• Infotainment: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD RX 350 estimated by the EPA to return 25 mpg in combined city and highway driving while the AWD model drops to 24 mpg. Stepping up to the hybrid RX 350h will only set you back $52,100, and it comes standard with AWD. Its combined fuel efficiency is estimated at an impressive 36 mpg. The new plug-in hybrid RX 450h+ that we evaluated has a starting price of $70,580, making it the priciest model in the lineup. Its 35-mpg combined fuel economy estimate compares well to the standard hybrid's figure and with 37 miles of electric-only range, it could be a good fit for those with consistent access to chargers.

Which Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Lexus RX offers these trims:

• RX 350: The base model brings the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, an eight-speed automatic, and the core RX comfort-and-refinement formula.
• RX 350h: The hybrid adds standard AWD and stronger efficiency, making it the best-value trim for many shoppers who want lower fuel use with everyday luxury.
• RX 450h+: The plug-in hybrid adds 18.1-kWh battery capacity, 304 hp, and up to 37 miles of electric-only range for buyers who can charge regularly.
• RX 500h F Sport Performance: This performance-oriented trim adds 366 hp, a six-speed automatic, and AWD for the most powerful RX experience in the lineup.

What Lexus RX do most buyers choose?

The Lexus RX years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a broader mix of prices, trims, and availability. That usually makes it easier to compare options and find a configuration that fits your budget.

What is the Lexus RX's resale value?

Most model years in the RX lineup are posting year-over-year price declines, which is good news if you're shopping used. The larger drops on newer years can create more appealing entry points, while older years are changing more gradually.

The 2014 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2014, 2016, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
