- Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated fuel economy of 41 mpg city, 37 highway, and 39 combined
Which Lexus NX Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2026 Lexus NX Hybrid offers these trims:
- NX 350h: The entry trim gives you the NX Hybrid’s core luxury-and-efficiency formula, including the standard hybrid setup, a 9.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. It’s the best-value choice if you want the model’s main strengths without moving up the trim ladder.
- Premium: This trim adds a step up in equipment and comfort while keeping the NX Hybrid’s premium cabin, tech, and safety foundation intact.
- Luxury: This trim builds on the NX Hybrid’s upscale character with a more richly equipped feel for shoppers who want a more indulgent daily driver.
- F Sport Handling: This trim adds adaptive dampers, a firmer suspension, dark exterior trim, dark 20-inch wheels, a head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, a power-adjustable steering column, and driver’s seat memory. It suits you if you want the most distinctive styling and the most feature-rich version.
What Lexus NX Hybrid do most buyers choose?
The Lexus NX Hybrid years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 651 | 32.1% |
| 2024 | 578 | 31.8% |
| 2023 | 370 | 28.6% |
| 2026 | 368 | 33.7% |
| 2021 | 148 | 27.7% |
| 2020 | 145 | 31% |
Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right color, mileage, and price. They also tend to attract the broadest buyer interest, which helps explain why they show up so often in used searches.
What is the Lexus NX Hybrid's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 | $28,730 | −5.56% |
| 2021 | $31,288 | −5.31% |
| 2019 | $25,864 | −4.6% |
| 2023 | $42,824 | −3.8% |
| 2024 | $46,992 | −2.91% |
| 2022 | $41,237 | −2.23% |
| 2025 | $52,104 | −2.14% |
Most model years are down year over year, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want to avoid paying peak pricing. The smaller declines on the newer years suggest those models are still relatively close to their recent asking prices. The 2025, 2022, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Lexus NX Hybrid safe?
- 2026: 8/10
- 2021: 9/10
- 2016: 9/10
The NX 350h comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. For the safest used buy, the 2016 and 2021 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
Should I buy a used Lexus NX Hybrid now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −2.14% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −2.91%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 31.8%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $52,104. The Lexus NX Hybrid offers a premium cabin, a comfortable ride, and a polished overall character that make it easy to live with every day.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The NX 350h consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with a pair of front electric motors, and Lexus quotes 240 horsepower, 8.2 seconds to 60 mph with FWD, and 7.2 seconds with AWD.
- Tech: The NX comes standard with a 9.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Safety: The latest model comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, including blind-spot monitors, rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, and emergency steering assist.
- Starting price: The base model’s MSRP starts at $45,470, including a $1,295 destination fee.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for 2027 inventory to mature.

After driving Audi Q5, the feel of Lexus Nx is a “tight” car with small seats. Test drove its base model and that did not even have a compass. Anticipated reliability is what compelling buyers towards Lexus. Otherwise the German and American competitors would reign supreme. Many used NXh are priced at a premium. Acura RDX is seen as a notch below and does not even have hybrid models.

Lexus NX Hybrid test drive
overall

The Lexus NX350h F Sport Handling prioritizes efficiency over power, while offering a controlled—but not sporty—driving character and a premium interior.
Not everyone needs a stout powertrain, even if it's often a prerequisite for luxury car buyers. Some might prefer frugal fuel economy backed by a badge with cachet, advanced technology, an arresting design, and/or a luxurious cabin. For that type of buyer, there’s the 2026 Lexus NX Hybrid—or NX 350h in Lexus jargon. While it has only middling power, it offers excellent fuel efficiency, as well as many of the traditional strengths that automotive luxury buyers seek.
Verdict: The NX Hybrid trades willing power for a thrifty hybrid system. The EPA says it gets 39 mpg combined. The F Sport Handling model adds more style than performance, while trading a smooth ride for a little more control. If you value thriftiness over power, the NX Hybrid is a wise choice of luxury SUV.
