Reviewed a 2025 Lexus NX Hybrid on Dec 18, 2025
After driving Audi Q5, the feel of Lexus Nx is a “tight” car with small seats. Test drove its base model and that did not even have a compass. Anticipated reliability is what compelling buyers towards Lexus. Otherwise the German and American competitors would reign supreme. Many used NXh are priced at a premium. Acura RDX is seen as a notch below and does not even have hybrid models.

Smooth quiet ride. Many safety features. Very nice interior. Memory seats. Apple play on a very large screen- for the premium.

Lexus NX Hybrid test drive
overall
The refreshed NX gets a smoother powertrain and a smarter cabin.
For 2027, the NX goes hybrid-only, offered as the 350h hybrid or 450h+ plug-in hybrid across four grades. Both get new-generation hybrid powertrains, and every NX now has a 14-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The result is an impressively smooth, easy-to-use luxury crossover, though its back seat and cargo area are still on the small side.
Verdict: The 2027 Lexus NX pairs a wonderfully smooth hybrid powertrain with one of the most sensible infotainment setups in the luxury class. If buyers can live with a snug back seat and modest cargo space, it's an excellent choice.
