• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel-economy ratings for the 2021 Land Discovery are 21 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 22 mpg highway) for the turbo-four engine, and 21 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway) for the six-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain.

Which Land Rover Discovery trim should I buy?

The 2021 Land Rover Discovery offers these trims:

• Discovery S: The base trim brings the standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, leather seats, and the 12.3-inch instrument cluster with 11.4-inch touchscreen. It is the value pick if you want the core Discovery experience with the essential luxury and capability features.
• Discovery R-Dynamic S: This trim adds the R-Dynamic treatment, including a gloss black grille and other exterior trim, plus two-tone leather upholstery with contrast stitching. It suits you if you want a more distinctive look and a step up in visual flair.

What Land Rover Discovery do most buyers choose?

The Land Rover Discovery years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2026.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider spread of pricing and deal quality. That usually makes it easier to find the right combination of features, condition, and value.

What is the Land Rover Discovery's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the model years listed, which can work in your favor as a used buyer. Several years have seen especially steep drops, creating more room for value shopping. A few newer examples have also fallen sharply, so recent-model Discovery shoppers may find stronger pricing than expected.

The 2018, 2022, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Land Rover Discovery safe?

• 2021: 6/10
• 2017: 8/10

Standard driver-assist tech includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic-sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system.

For the safest used buy, the 2017 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.
