What should I look for when buying a used Kia EV6?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |

| 2024 | 91.5% |
| 2023 | 90.5% |

Key things to evaluate:
- Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, review charging habits, and confirm the remaining battery warranty so you know how the pack has been used and what coverage still applies.
- Safety package: Highway Driving Assist 2 pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.
- Infotainment: A new infotainment system pairs a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
- Range & charging: The EV6 Light has a 63-kWh battery pack and offers a driving range of 237 miles, while the larger 84-kWh battery in other versions delivers range from 270 to 310 miles and can go from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes on a 350-kW ultra-fast charger.
Which Kia EV6 trim should I buy?
The 2025 Kia EV6 offers these trims:
- Light: The entry trim brings rear-wheel drive, a 63-kWh battery pack, 167 horsepower, 258 pound-feet of torque, and 237 miles of range, making it the value-focused starting point.
- Light Long Range: This trim adds the larger 84-kWh battery and 225 hp in single-motor form, making it a smart choice if you want more range.
- Wind: This trim adds the larger battery and is available with single-motor or dual-motor AWD setups, giving you a broader mix of performance and traction.
- GT-Line: This trim adds the upscale presentation, premium-feeling cabin, and dual-motor AWD availability, making it the best-value pick for many shoppers.
- GT: This trim adds the highest-performance setup in the lineup for buyers who want the most power and the sportiest character.
What Kia EV6 do most buyers choose?
The Kia EV6 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 1,375 | 40.9% |
| 2024 | 1,373 | 40.9% |
| 2025 | 847 | 41.7% |
| 2022 | 639 | 39.3% |
| 2026 | 111 | 36.9% |
Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price, mileage, and equipment mix. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.
What is the Kia EV6's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | $26,404 | −7.33% |
| 2024 | $27,624 | −7.32% |
| 2022 | $22,650 | −6.75% |
Prices are moving lower across the model years shown, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. The declines are fairly similar from year to year, so the pattern points to broad softening rather than a sharp drop in just one model year.
The 2022, 2024, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Kia EV6 safe?
- 2025: 7/10
- 2022: 9/10
The 2025 EV6 includes Highway Driving Assist 2, which pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.
For the safest used buy, the 2022 model posts the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
Should I buy a used Kia EV6 now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2024 model is at −7.32% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −7.33%.
- Deal availability: The 2024 model has 40.9% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 40.9%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $26,404. The Kia EV6 offers a stylish, high-tech cabin with a sporty character that helps it stand out in the segment.
Consider waiting if:
- Range & charging: The EV6 Light has a 63-kWh battery pack and offers a driving range of 237 miles, while the larger 84-kWh battery in other versions delivers range from 270 to 310 miles and can go from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes on a 350-kW ultra-fast charger.
- Tech: A new infotainment system pairs a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
- Safety: Highway Driving Assist 2 pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist.
- Starting price: Prices range from $44,395 to $65,295, including the destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2023 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

I purchased a 2022 Kia EV6 Wind AWD with about 8k miles on it in September. Drove it the last 4 months and it was a very responsive and great handling car. I had multiple issues with Chargepoint and ended up replacing it with a Wallbox home charger. The wallbox is faster (11.5 kw/h) as well and much more reliable. I totaled the car last week and had zero injuries thanks to the amazing crash worthiness and safety features. I have to shop for a new car and I will probably get another one. Price/quality is right up there ! Some of the features are a little quirky to use and I dont like that the apple car play must be plugged in still. Probably my only negatives.

Expensive for normal features. I can get similar features in Hyundai kona, Kia nero or Nissan leaf. Alternative options are better than this.
