Should I buy a used Jeep Grand Cherokee L now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.01% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −1.67%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 40.9%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The standard V6 engine and a sport mode bring out the worst qualities of this minivan-grade powertrain, while the 3.6-liter Pentastar makes 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
• Tech: The Laredo and Altitude trims come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument panel, while the Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and navigation that shows full-screen maps on the instrument panel.
• Safety: The Active Driving Assist is standard on Summit Reserve and only on that trim.
• Starting price: Base prices start at $42,130.

If you're buying used today, the 2022 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
