| 2016 | 45.1% |

Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Hyundai SmartSense driver-assistance suite
- Infotainment: 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Fuel efficiency: 31/40/34 for the SEL and Limited and 32/41/36 for the base SE
Which Hyundai Elantra trim should I buy?
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra offers these trims:
- SE: The entry trim brings the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, CVT, 8-inch touchscreen, and the core safety and convenience setup, making it the value-focused starting point.
- SEL: This trim adds more equipment and is the best-value choice for many shoppers who want a stronger balance of features and price.
- SEL Sport Premium: This version builds on the SEL with additional equipment for shoppers who want a more upscale feel.
- Limited: The Limited adds the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, blind-spot camera views, Highway Driving Assist, and the most advanced convenience and safety content.
- N Line: The N Line adds the 1.6-liter turbo-four, quicker-shifting dual-clutch automatic, sportier chassis tuning, Bose audio, and a more engaging driving character.
- Hybrid Blue: This hybrid trim adds the efficiency-focused powertrain and is the choice for shoppers prioritizing fuel economy.
- N: The standalone performance model adds the 276-hp turbocharged engine, dual-clutch transmission, and the most serious performance hardware in the lineup.
What Hyundai Elantra do most buyers choose?
The Hyundai Elantra years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 6,151 | 32.9% |
| 2025 | 5,812 | 33.1% |
| 2023 | 3,953 | 32.9% |
| 2026 | 3,948 | 33.2% |
| 2022 | 2,658 | 32.8% |
| 2019 | 2,342 | 28.1% |
Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular because they give you a wider selection of listings and a strong mix of features, pricing, and deal availability. That makes it easier to find the right trim and condition without stretching your budget.

The 2020, 2016, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −4.0% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −5.76%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 32.9%.

Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The latest Elantra offers four engines and five transmissions, with the common 2.0-liter inline-four making 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, while the N Line’s 1.6-liter turbo-four makes 201 hp and 195 lb-ft.
- Tech: The latest Elantra adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen on SEL-and-above trims, blind-spot cameras on the Limited, and a Wi-Fi hotspot plus digital key functionality.
- Safety: The latest Elantra adds rear emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, and Highway Driving Assist on the Limited.

The car was a great value for the money I spent. It had plenty of features, and ultimately great MPG and price. I loved that it still has manufactuer warranty and is a certified-pre owned. I did wish it supported Hyundai's digital key, but the BlueLink is another phenomenal feature, other than having to pay every year. For other cars in this class such as the Civic, Corolla, Forte, K4, Impreza etc. It is reasonably priced, only competitive with the K4. If I wanted all of these features in one of those other vehicles especiallt the Civic I would be paying significantly more.

Hyundai Elantra test drive
overall
The Hyundai Elantra is the sportiest-looking and most versatile compact car on sale.
For nearly 20 years over six generations, the Elantra established Hyundai as a provider of bottom-rung transportation. Not until the current seventh-generation model debuted in 2020 did the Elantra shed its cheap image and stand competitively with other compact sedans from Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. Hyundai always sold on low prices and long warranties. Now the Elantra is a genuinely sporty, well-constructed car that competes on actual substance—namely, how it drives and feels—and offers a wider range of trim levels. For 2024, a mild refresh brings more style and standard equipment.
Verdict: Get past the strange bodywork and plasticky interior, and you’ll find a well-mannered sedan that is equally adept at being comfortable and economical as it is sporty and truly entertaining.
