What should I look for when buying a used Genesis GV80?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Genesis’ Highway Drive Assist, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, blind view monitor, remote smart parking, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: a clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the 2025 Genesis GV80 with the four-cylinder engine a rating of 19 miles per gallon city, 24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined. The six-cylinder engine only nets 16/22/19.

Which Genesis GV80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 offers these trims:

• Standard: The entry trim gives you the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, all-wheel drive, and the GV80’s core luxury design and tech; it’s the starting point if you want the model’s style and standard equipment at the lowest price.
• AWD: This trim adds the features Genesis deleted from the lower setup, including a heated steering wheel, digital key, and spare tire, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
• Select: This trim builds on the 2.5-liter setup and keeps the GV80’s upscale cabin and standard AWD while moving you closer to the richer equipment mix.
• Advance: This trim opens the door to the larger twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine and adds more of the GV80’s premium content, making it a strong pick if you want more power and a fuller luxury experience.
• Prestige: The top trim pairs the larger engine with the most upscale presentation and the fullest equipment set, including the GV80’s most luxurious cabin touches.

What Genesis GV80 do most buyers choose?

The Genesis GV80 years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right color, trim, and equipment mix. They also tend to be the years most shoppers cross-shop first when looking for a used GV80.

What is the Genesis GV80's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the GV80 lineup, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The larger drops create more room for value, while the smaller declines suggest some years are softening more gradually than others. Overall, the pattern points to a market where buyers can find meaningful savings relative to earlier pricing.

The 2024, 2021, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Genesis GV80 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −15.59% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −8.96%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38.2%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $49,418. The Genesis GV80 offers a distinctive, upscale cabin with a smooth, luxury-focused character that helps it stand out in the segment.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Genesis kept the powertrain options the same for 2025. A 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is standard fare on the GV80. This power plant puts out 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Our tester goes bigger with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine good for 375 ponies and 391 lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: All trims of the GV80 get a clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both here.
• Safety: Every GV80 gets a whole slew of updated advanced driver’s aids like lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
