Which Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?
The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E offers these trims:
- Select: The entry trim starts with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, and it can be paired with dual-motor power for more output. It suits you if you want the most accessible way into the lineup while still getting the Mach-E's core style and capability.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it combines the dual-motor extended-range setup with the model's strong mix of power, range, and creature comforts. It also suits you if you want the broadest all-around balance.
- GT: This trim adds 480 hp, stronger Brembo brakes, and sport seats with bigger bolsters, making it the pick for you if performance is the priority.
- Rally: This trim adds a standard black roof, black wheel arches and side cladding, white or black dish-style wheels, underbody protection for the front and rear motors, and RallySport mode. It suits you if you want the most playful, rally-inspired version in the lineup.

Nice external look. Zippy. I don’t love the vertical positioning of the computer. And minor but the door for the charger has a dimple in it, making it look like the car has a dent.

The newly updated Mach-E GT has some great features from the previous GT Performance Editions, but Ford has removed some standard options from previous year models. One big one is the hands free rear trunk option. The Magride suspension is amazing. Overall, I think the new GT’s are a great value at the reduced price point (compared to my 2021 GT).

Ford Mustang Mach-E test drive
overall

The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E attacks the electric SUV segment with good looks and practicality.
Every automaker needs a successful electric SUV, and the best way to go about that is to make it look good. Ford’s bread-and-butter electric SUV does that by borrowing design elements from the legendary Mustang coupe and convertible, teaming them with a roomy interior and useful electric driving range. Offered in a variety of trims, the Mach-E works as a practical daily driver and can be had with big-time power and even as a rally-inspired trail beast.
Verdict: The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s appealing looks are backed up by a practical interior, a viable range, and a variety of trim levels. It doesn’t charge as quickly or go as far as some rivals and the ride could be better, but the Mach-E offers style in a market sadly lacking it.
