What should I look for when buying a used Ford Mustang Mach-E?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 94.1% |
| 2025 | 92.5% |
| 2024 | 91.9% |
| 2023 | 91% |
| 2022 | 89.8% |
| 2021 | 83.3% |
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ suite includes automatic emergency braking with intersection assist and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, an exit warning system, high-beam assist, a driver-attention monitor, and rear parking sensors.
- Infotainment: The large 15.5-inch center touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster are key tech features to check.
- Range & charging: The latest model’s powertrain data cites 260 miles of range with the standard battery, 320 miles with the extended-range battery, and DC fast charging from 10-80% in as little as 43 minutes for the larger battery.
- Battery health: As with any used EV, you should review battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm the remaining battery warranty before you buy.
Which Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?
The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E offers these trims:
- Select: The entry trim starts with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, and it also serves as the starting point for dual-motor and extended-range configurations.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim for many buyers, adding the dual-motor extended-range setup, a more upscale cabin, and the balance of power, range, and comfort that makes the Mach-E easy to recommend.
- GT: This trim adds 20-inch wheels, stronger Brembo brakes, sport seats, and much more power for buyers who want the quickest and most performance-focused Mach-E.
- Rally: This trim adds the rally-inspired look, standard black roof, black wheel arches and side cladding, white or black dish-style wheels, underbody protection, and a playful chassis tune for buyers who want the most distinctive version.
What Ford Mustang Mach-E do most buyers choose?
The Ford Mustang Mach-E years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 2,141 | 37.5% |
| 2023 | 2,078 | 39% |
| 2022 | 1,936 | 38.9% |
| 2025 | 708 | 34% |
| 2021 | 468 | 38.5% |
| 2026 | 354 | 30.2% |
Those higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right color, trim, and price. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability often overlap.
What is the Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | $25,569 | −7.81% |
| 2021 | $23,090 | −6.98% |

| 2024 | $31,887 | −2.84% |
| 2023 | $29,806 | −2.25% |
Prices are moving lower across every model year shown, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are on the older and newer ends of the range, while the most recent model years are changing more gradually. That creates a useful spread of choices if you want to balance price against age and equipment.
The 2023, 2024, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

Nice external look. Zippy. I don’t love the vertical positioning of the computer. And minor but the door for the charger has a dimple in it, making it look like the car has a dent.

The newly updated Mach-E GT has some great features from the previous GT Performance Editions, but Ford has removed some standard options from previous year models. One big one is the hands free rear trunk option. The Magride suspension is amazing. Overall, I think the new GT’s are a great value at the reduced price point (compared to my 2021 GT).

Ford Mustang Mach-E test drive
overall

The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E attacks the electric SUV segment with good looks and practicality.
Every automaker needs a successful electric SUV, and the best way to go about that is to make it look good. Ford’s bread-and-butter electric SUV does that by borrowing design elements from the legendary Mustang coupe and convertible, teaming them with a roomy interior and useful electric driving range. Offered in a variety of trims, the Mach-E works as a practical daily driver and can be had with big-time power and even as a rally-inspired trail beast.
Verdict: The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s appealing looks are backed up by a practical interior, a viable range, and a variety of trim levels. It doesn’t charge as quickly or go as far as some rivals and the ride could be better, but the Mach-E offers style in a market sadly lacking it.
