How much does the Ford Bronco cost in today's market?

Used Ford Bronco prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Ford Bronco's current nationwide average price is $42,953, and its nationwide average price reached a low of $42,143 over the past year. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — the Ford Bronco earns strong owner approval across its full run, and its appeal is anchored by a 4.51/5 all-generations user rating.

The all-generations owner rating is 4.51/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Bronco for its off-road capability, rugged styling, and fun driving character. Comfort, spaciousness, and a smooth ride also come up often, especially from shoppers who want an SUV that feels adventurous without giving up everyday usability.

Expert reviews rate the 2023 and 2022 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs that show up repeatedly are poor fuel economy, noise, and value concerns, especially on recent models with expert coverage.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Ford Bronco models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the Bronco as a capable, enjoyable SUV with strong performance and a distinctive design. Expert coverage also reinforces its appeal through its off-road hardware, comfort, and broad versatility.

• Owners rate the Ford Bronco between 4.27 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is shaped more by how the Bronco was equipped and used than by the model’s core appeal, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter.

What should I look for when buying a used Ford Bronco?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 on the 2025 Bronco Big Bend and higher trim levels
• Infotainment: a 12-inch touchscreen running Sync 4 with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: 18 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined

Which Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Bronco offers these trims:

• Bronco: The base trim gives you the Bronco’s core open-air character and standard four-wheel drive, making it the entry point for shoppers who want the model’s trail-ready personality.
• Big Bend: This is the best-value trim, adding Ford Co-Pilot360 and serving as the smart upgrade for most buyers.
• Outer Banks: This trim adds leather seating surfaces, a heated steering wheel, LED lighting, and the option for a turbocharged V6.
• Heritage: This trim leans into the retro look and includes the Sasquatch package as standard equipment.
• Badlands: This trim adds bigger tires, an upgraded suspension package, a classier interior, and a front sway-bar disconnect for more serious trail use.
• Stroppe Edition: This two-door special edition adds a race-ready theme, unique red, white and blue styling, and a matte black hood.
• Raptor: This top performance model adds an ultra-wide body kit, huge tires, dramatically lifted suspension, and the most extreme off-road presence in the lineup.

What Ford Bronco do most buyers choose?

The Ford Bronco years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right trim, color, and equipment mix. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.

What is the Ford Bronco's resale value?

The Bronco’s used prices are moving lower across the board, which creates better opportunities for shoppers. The sharpest drops are concentrated in the newer model years, while the older years show smaller declines. That pattern gives you more leverage if you want a recent Bronco without paying near-new pricing.

The 2023, 2022, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Ford Bronco safe?

• 2025: 5/10
• 2024: 6/10
• 2023: 5/10
• 2022: 5/10
• 2021: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2021 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Ford Bronco now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −17.93% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.57%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.5% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 33.9%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $44,674. The Ford Bronco offers a distinctive retro-inspired design with genuine open-air character and serious off-road capability.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Most 2025 Bronco models are equipped with one of two engines, while the Bronco Raptor gets a unique, more powerful engine of its own, and the base 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine spins out 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
• Tech: The 2025 Ford Bronco comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen that runs the latest Sync 4 infotainment software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a second 12-inch digital gauge cluster.
• Safety: The 2025 Bronco comes standard with post-collision braking, hill-start assist and hill-descent control, while Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard on the Big Bend and higher trim levels.
• Starting price: The 2025 Bronco starts at $40,990 in base trim.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
