Customer summary
The Chrysler Pacifica has consistently impressed owners across the years with its spacious interiors, smooth rides, and family-friendly features. Many drivers appreciate its comfort and versatile seating options, particularly the stow-and-go seats, making it an excellent choice for families. While the advanced technology and safety features are highly favored, some concerns have been raised about electronics reliability, fuel economy, and the occasional stop/start engine issues. Overall, the Pacifica stands out as a strong competitor in the minivan market, combining style, functionality, and a good driving experience.

Is the Chrysler Pacifica a good car?
Yes — the Chrysler Pacifica earns strong marks from owners across the lineup, and its family-friendly packaging is a major part of the appeal. The all-generations owner rating is 4.4/5 across every model year in the data.
Owners consistently praise the Pacifica for its spacious cabin, smooth ride, and versatile seating, especially the Stow ’n Go setup. The model also gets recurring credit for comfort and useful family-focused features, which helps it stand out as a practical daily driver.
Expert reviews rate the 2021 and 2024 models among the highest across all years.
The main trade-offs are the Pacifica’s dated-feeling tech, cheap-feeling interior materials, and, on some years, fuel economy that trails expectations.
38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Are Chrysler Pacifica models reliable?
Owners and experts consistently point to the Pacifica’s spacious cabin, smooth ride, and family-friendly versatility as its biggest strengths. Across the lineup, it’s a minivan that delivers comfort and everyday usability in a way that resonates with shoppers.
- Owners rate the Chrysler Pacifica between 3.7 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.
For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully on older examples, so a thorough history report and maintenance review matter.
What should I look for when buying a used Chrysler Pacifica?
Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 88.8% |
| 2025 | 88.8% |
| 2024 | 88% |
| 2023 | 86.3% |
| 2022 | 83.9% |
| 2021 | 75.8% |
| 2020 | 73.7% |
| 2019 | 68.2% |
| 2018 | 66.7% |
| 2017 | 65.2% |
Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2021 models.
Key things to evaluate:
- Fuel efficiency: The Pacifica's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 makes 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and no CVT in sight. EPA estimates for the FWD V6 sit at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined, effectively matching the FWD, V6-powered Honda Odyssey. AWD drops those numbers to 17, 25, and 20.
Which Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?
The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica offers these trims:
- LX: The base LX keeps the older logo, a more reserved fascia, and simpler headlights, making it the styling-purist pick.
- Select: This is the best-value trim, adding the reworked front-end styling and the option of AWD for an additional $2,995.
- Limited: The Limited adds ventilated seats and can be paired with the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package.
- Pinnacle: The Pinnacle sits at the top of the lineup and includes the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package as standard.
What Chrysler Pacifica do most buyers choose?
The Chrysler Pacifica years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 8,708 | 40.5% |
| 2025 | 7,487 | 41% |
| 2023 | 6,263 | 39% |
| 2026 | 4,394 | 41.8% |
| 2022 | 3,772 | 38.7% |
| 2018 | 2,650 | 32.6% |
These higher-volume years tend to draw the most shoppers because they offer a strong mix of availability, pricing, and deal share. When more listings are on the market, you also have more room to compare trims and find the right feature set.
What is the Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | $26,983 | −28.06% |
| 2024 | $22,963 | −27.98% |
| 2023 | $21,699 | −21.47% |
| 2022 | $20,432 | −19.6% |
| 2020 | $16,493 | −14.87% |
| 2021 | $19,913 | −13.99% |
| 2019 | $14,652 | −11.1% |
| 2018 | $13,082 | −9.68% |
| 2017 | $11,605 | −7.17% |
The Pacifica’s used prices are falling across every model year shown, with especially steep drops on the newer models. That creates a favorable setup for used buyers who want recent features without paying near-new pricing. The older model years show smaller declines, which suggests they have held value better than the newer ones.
The 2017, 2018, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Chrysler Pacifica safe?
- 2027: 7/10
- 2024: 8/10
- 2021: 9/10
- 2017: 8/10
For the safest used buy, the 2021 model posts the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
Should I buy a used Chrysler Pacifica now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −28.06% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −27.98%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 41% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 40.5%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $22,963. The Chrysler Pacifica offers a roomy, family-friendly cabin with standout Stow ’n Go flexibility.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The Pacifica's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 makes 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and no CVT in sight, and EPA estimates for the FWD V6 sit at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.
- Tech: The main touchscreen is a 10.1-inch unit running Uconnect 5, standard across every trim, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.
- Safety: Standard equipment across every 2027 Pacifica trim includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert.
- Starting price: The LX trim opens at $43,490 including destination.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Reviewed a 2024 Chrysler Touring L FWD on Jun 20, 2024
Some review say the Chrysler Pacifica is a dated design especially the interior. If that means it doesnt have a nav screen the size of coffee table book, and actual knobs for air conditioning, heat, and other normal functions, I say HELL YES! The 10 inch screen is perfect for everything I could think of and not take up needless space for the sake of being new. I was concerned that this Pacifica would have completely different controls, but I was wrong. Some controls are in a different place that the two Fords I had previously, but a couple of drives got me used to them. Even though this was a lower tier model, I found that quality of the seats, dash and controls top rate. The 6 cylinder, 9 speed transmission has the power I need. I wish Ford were still making minivans, but they dont so they lost a sale. I know there are only four automakers who make minivans, and I did look seriously at the Toyota Sienna, but with no availability and no haggling on a $60,000 plus car, Ill pass. I really want the Pacifica Plug in but I tow a small trailer and Chrysler does not recommend it.

Chrysler Pacifica test drive
overall
A lackluster refresh gives the Chrysler Pacifica a new face, but the minivan’s strengths and weaknesses remain unchanged.
Chrysler’s biggest changes for 2027 are the discontinuation of the Pacifica PHEV, and a new LX trim level that takes the place of Chrysler’s formerly fleet-focused Voyager model. After that, the headline shifts toward the remaining all-gas Pacifica’s new face. But don’t let a polarizing new design fool you. This minivan remains a practical and powerful option for families.
Verdict: A new fascia and lighting signature grace the higher trim levels, but otherwise it will be hard to notice many changes between the 2026 Pacifica and this new 2027 model. Stow 'n Go seating remains the Pacifica's signature advantage over its competitors, and this remains the only option in the segment that offers V6 power and all-wheel drive.
