What Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and equipment. When more listings are on the market, you usually get more chances to compare trims, mileage, and condition before you buy.

What is the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, and several recent ones show especially sharp drops. That creates a favorable setup for used buyers, since newer trucks are giving up more value than the older ones in the table. The smallest declines are clustered among the older model years, which suggests those trucks have been moving more steadily.

The 2016, 2017, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD safe?

• 2024: 7/10
• 2021: 5/10
• 2020: 8/10
• 2017: 8/10

For the safest used buy, the 2017 and 2020 models both post the highest confirmed score of 8/10.
