How much does the Chevrolet Colorado cost in today's market?

Used Chevrolet Colorado prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Chevrolet Colorado's current nationwide average price is $28,052, and its lowest point over the past year was $26,421. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the Chevrolet Colorado earns a strong overall reputation from owners, and the all-generations user rating is 4.24/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise its balance of performance, comfort, and versatility. Common themes include a smooth ride, good towing capability, and a spacious interior that works well for both family use and truck duties.

Expert reviews rate the 2015 and 2025 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs across recent expert-tested years center on poor fuel economy, cabin materials that feel cheap, and interior ergonomics that can be frustrating. Even so, the Colorado remains appealing if you want a midsize truck with real capability and broad everyday usefulness.

Which Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado offers these trims:

• WT: The foundation of the lineup, with the affordable work-truck setup that can be upgraded with 4WD, smarter wheels, more interior amenities, and a spray-on bedliner; this is the value-focused starting point.
• LT: Adds the mid-grade setup that serves as the basis of the Z71, making it the best-value trim for buyers who want a more rounded mix of equipment and capability.
• Trail Boss: Adds off-road-tuned suspension, a two-inch factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tires, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control.
• Z71: Builds on the LT with off-road capability.
• ZR2: Adds even more features and extra off-roading hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

What Chevrolet Colorado do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Colorado years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing spread to shop, and a better chance of finding the trim and condition you want. They also sit close to the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability overlap.

What is the Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The largest drops are concentrated in several newer and mid-cycle years, while a few older years are falling more slowly. Overall, the pattern points to broad softening across the lineup rather than isolated movement in just one or two years.

The 2016, 2020, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
