Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Active Driving Assistant, with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intersection assist when making left turns, active blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking assist, and a semi-autonomous backup assist system.
• Infotainment: BMW Curved Display with a 10.25-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by BMW Operating System 9 (iDrive 9), plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: On our Southern California evaluation loop, the X2 xDrive28i M Sport averaged 25.3 mpg, short of the official EPA fuel economy estimate of 28 mpg in combined driving.

Which BMW X2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW X2 offers these trims:

• xDrive28i: The entry model brings the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, standard all-wheel drive, and the core premium tech and safety setup; it is the best-value choice for shoppers who want the X2’s style and equipment without stepping up to the performance model.
• M35i: This version adds the more powerful engine and the M Sport treatment standard, making it the pick for buyers who want the strongest performance and a more athletic feel.

What BMW X2 do most buyers choose?

The BMW X2 years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2019.

Higher-volume years tend to draw more shopper attention because they usually offer a wider mix of prices, trims, and deal opportunities. That makes them easier starting points when you want more choices in the used market.

What is the BMW X2's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the model years listed, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. Several years have posted double-digit declines, while the smallest change is still a meaningful drop. That pattern points to improving value for buyers who want to enter the BMW X2 lineup at a lower price point.

The 2020, 2018, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
