The M5 underwent what is arguably its most extensive redesign ever for the 2025 model year, switching to the current-generation 5 Series body (known as the G60) and gaining a first-ever plug-in hybrid powertrain. As such, changes for 2026 are limited to a more powerful onboard charger and more paint options.
