The 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron is a small, nimble, and highly efficient all-electric crossover. It was introduced for the 2022 model year, and it carries over into 2023 with the introduction of a lower-cost variant, dubbed “40,” which joins the Q4 e-tron 50. The Q4 e-tron’s aerodynamic layout provides up to 53.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded and closer to 25 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats in use. There is also a Sportback variant of the Q4 e-tron, listed as a separate model.
Both the Q4 e-tron 40 and 50 come equipped with an 82-kWh battery pack. The new 40 features a single motor at the rear wheels. It makes 201 horsepower and provides an electric driving range of 265 miles. Moving up to the 50 adds an electric motor for the front wheels. The combined power of the two motors is 295 horsepower in an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup, but range with the 50 falls to 236 miles. Thanks to DC fast charging, the Q4 e-tron can be charged from five percent to 80 percent in just 36 minutes.
There are three trims for the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. Premium and Premium Plus are available with the on the Q4 e-tron 40, but the top-of-the-line Prestige trim is only offered for the Q4 e-tron 50, where it is standard. (It is also possible to select the 50 in Premium or Premium Plus trims if you prefer.) The Premium trim comes equipped with features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, all-season tires, LED ambient cabin lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a fully digital instrument panel. It also comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An available Convenience Package ($1,800) can be optioned on models with the Premium trim—this adds a hands-free power liftgate, driver’s seat memory setting, satellite radio, and a wireless device charging pad.
Moving up to the Premium Plus trim adds Virtual Cockpit Plus, LED interior lighting plus package, the contents of the Convenience Package, and a Sonos premium stereo system. The range-topping Prestige trim includes headlight and taillight animations, LED matrix headlights, a headlight washer system, and an augmented reality (AR) head-up display.
The Q4 e-tron comes equipped with lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Base MSRP for the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron is $48,800 for the Premium 40 and $53,800 for the Premium 50. The Premium Plus 40 starts at $55,400, and the Premium Plus 50 starts at $60,400, while the Prestige 50 starts at $61,900.
