New Acura MDX for Sale nearPalestine, IL

How much does the Acura MDX cost in today's market?

Used Acura MDX prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Acura MDX's current nationwide average price is $33,155, and its lowest point over the past year was $28,643. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the Acura MDX is a strong used SUV choice if you want a three-row luxury model with broad appeal and a well-rounded character. The all-generations owner rating is 4.57/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the MDX for its spacious cabin, smooth ride, comfort, and practical family-friendly layout. Reliability and safety also come up often as recurring strengths, along with the model’s polished feel and everyday usability.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2019 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are the cramped third row, fuel economy that trails expectations, and infotainment systems that were less intuitive in earlier years. Recent versions also keep the focus on on-road comfort and refinement rather than adding more adventurous capability.

37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Acura MDX models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the Acura MDX as a dependable, comfortable luxury SUV with strong everyday usability. Expert coverage also reinforces that impression by highlighting the model’s quality, smooth ride, and family-friendly character across multiple years.

• Owners rate the Acura MDX between 3.5 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership picture looks favorable overall, especially if you choose a well-maintained example and verify its history carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used Acura MDX?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: While the official EPA fuel economy estimate is 21 mpg combined, we observed 17.9 mpg on our SoCal evaluation loop.

Which Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura MDX offers these trims:

• Technology: This package adds the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
• A-Spec: This package adds blacked-out wheels and exterior trim, subtle styling modifications, and bolder interior treatments blending leather and artificial suede.
• Advance: This package adds a more elaborate ambient lighting setup and a more upscale equipment mix for buyers who want a richer cabin experience.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the best-value choice if you want the A-Spec styling with the added comfort and visual upgrades of the Advance package.
• Type S Advance: This trim adds the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, adaptive air suspension, and other performance-focused upgrades for buyers who want the most powerful MDX.

What Acura MDX do most buyers choose?

The Acura MDX years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. They also sit close to the newest design and tech updates, which makes them especially appealing to shoppers comparing used luxury SUVs.

What is the Acura MDX's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the lineup, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. Several newer years have seen especially sharp drops, while older examples also continue to soften at a steadier pace.

The 2016, 2018, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Acura MDX now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.5% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.87%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 39.4% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 42.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $47,838. The Acura MDX offers a roomy, family-friendly cabin with a polished, upscale feel that has long been part of its appeal.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Most MDX models have a 3.5-liter V6 engine under their hoods. It generates 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System driving modes, including Snow, Comfort, Normal, and Sport.
• Tech: A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display pairs with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.5-inch head-up display is also available.
• Safety: Acura bundles most of the MDX’s driver aids into a package called AcuraWatch. They include: forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist.
• Starting price: Prices range from $53,150 to $77,200, including the $1,350 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
