- Corolla XSE: the top gas trim, adding the most upscale equipment in the gas lineup and pairing with available premium audio and more advanced convenience features.
- Corolla FX: the special edition for shoppers who want sport-tuned steering, a lowered sport suspension, snazzy wheels, and a spiffy spoiler.

Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: Dynamically, the Corolla FX distinguishes itself with a lowered sport suspension and sport-tuned steering. Otherwise, it features the same mechanical hardware as the Corolla SE and XSE, including a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine supplying 169 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 151 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm.
- Tech: In addition to the new Corolla FX special edition, Toyota now offers a larger 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system in this compact car, and in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota provides complimentary trial subscriptions to numerous helpful plans.

- Starting price: Base pricing ranges from $22,325 to $28,040, not including the $1,195 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

This car seems to be in great shape, mechanical wise and it seems very clean and well kept. I would try n get it myself but I need cruise control and this one doesn't have it. Most toyotas are dependable cars, that's why I'm looking for a Toyota Corolla.

This was a base model. There's no frills on it which is fine. It's a Toyota so it's going to run forever. If you're looking for just basic excellent transportation and vanilla, this is a good car.

CarGurus recommends the 2024 Toyota Corolla
Summary
With 8,167 currently listed for sale and an average price of $20,735, 39.1% of 2024 Toyota Corolla listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Toyota Corolla 5 / 5 stars.
82.7% of 2024 Toyota Corolla listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Toyota Corolla stands out because it sits within a generation that offers a much wider model range than its predecessor and a degree of style and desirability that recent Corolla models have lacked. It is described as a sharp-looking car with distinctive arrow-shaped headlamps, balanced proportions, and sculpted sides, and the lineup includes sedan and hatchback body styles, plus a hybrid sedan and the GR Corolla hatchback. That breadth gives buyers a lot of choice in a car that still keeps the Corolla’s long-running appeal for practicality and everyday ease.
For 2024, Toyota brought back the Nightshade Edition, an appearance package with black exterior badging and bronze 18-inch wheels, and it is available across the sedan, hatchback, and hybrid variants. Tech improvements included wireless phone charging becoming standard on XLE and XSE sedans and XSE hatchbacks. The GR Corolla lineup also expanded with a Premium trim featuring Torsen limited-slip differentials, red brake calipers, and suede upholstery, while the Morizo Edition was discontinued. Those updates make the 2024 Corolla feel more modern and better equipped, especially for shoppers who want a compact car with more personality than the average commuter.
The Corolla’s strengths remain its efficiency and broad appeal. The hybrid combines a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors to produce 121 combined horsepower and 52 mpg combined fuel economy, while gas models use a 2.0-liter engine with 169 horsepower. At the same time, the car’s limitations are familiar Corolla ones: it is still more about sensible ownership than excitement, and the lineup’s many variations mean equipment can vary a lot by body style and trim.
