Used Toyota Corolla for Sale nearHamburg, NY

How much does the Toyota Corolla cost in today's market?

Used Toyota Corolla prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Toyota Corolla's current nationwide average price is $18,161, and its lowest point over the past year was $16,768. That gives you a useful snapshot of where this model has been trading recently. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the Toyota Corolla is a strong used-car pick if you want a compact car built around practicality, efficiency, and easy ownership. The all-generations owner rating is 4.33/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel economy, and low maintenance costs, and recent models also earn credit for their modern features and everyday usability. Across the lineup, you’ll also see recurring praise for its comfortable ride and sensible, easy-to-live-with character.

Expert reviews rate the 2014 and 2021 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs in recent expert-reviewed years are a noisy cabin, a stereo that falls short, and fuel economy that can disappoint in some versions. Even so, the Corolla’s mix of value, durability, and broad appeal makes it an easy car to recommend for many used buyers.

36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Toyota Corolla models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently point to the Corolla’s reliability, low running costs, and practical day-to-day usability. Recent models also get credit for dependable operation and a straightforward ownership experience that fits the Corolla’s long-running reputation.

• Owners rate the Toyota Corolla between 3.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is generally low, especially if you choose a well-kept example with a clean history and regular maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used Toyota Corolla?

Across all model years, at 71.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2023 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and a road sign recognition system.
• Infotainment: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, plus a larger 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
• Fuel efficiency: 32.2 mpg in suburban Los Angeles driving, 27.1 mpg on the evaluation loop, and an official EPA rating of 34 mpg in combined driving.

Which Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Corolla offers these trims:

• LE: The entry point to the lineup, with the Corolla’s core everyday practicality and a straightforward setup for shoppers who want the basics done well.
• SE: The best-value trim, adding a more appealing mix of features and options while avoiding the plain vanilla look of the LE.
• FX: Adds sport-tuned steering, a lowered sport suspension, snazzy wheels, a spiffy spoiler, and a Moonstone-color interior for shoppers who want more style and athleticism.
• XSE: Sits above the SE and adds the top-end feel in the sedan lineup, along with the available premium audio and connected-tech content tied to the upper trim.
• XLE: The hybrid’s upscale grade, aimed at buyers who want a more refined version of the Corolla Hybrid.

What Toyota Corolla do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Corolla years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you the broadest selection of listings and the strongest chance of finding the right trim, color, and equipment mix. They also tend to be newer, which helps keep the shopping pool active and well stocked.

What is the Toyota Corolla's resale value?

Most Corolla model years in this table are moving lower year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more value for your money. A few older years are edging upward, but the overall pattern still favors buyers looking for recent-model bargains.

The 2015, 2019, 2020, and 2023 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2016, 2014, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with prices flat to rising year-over-year.
