Why it stands out
The Porsche Panamera excels as a luxury sports sedan by seamlessly blending high-performance capabilities with spacious, well-appointed interiors. Its impressive range of powerful engines, including V6 and V8 options along with hybrid variants, ensures exhilarating acceleration while maintaining practicality with ample cargo space and versatile seating arrangements. Additionally, the second-generation model enhances its appeal with a sleeker design and cutting-edge technology, solidifying its position as a standout in the luxury automotive segment.
Other model years to consider
The 2015 and 2014 Porsche Panamera model years stand out as cost-effective options, with average prices of $26,295.19 and $23,093.20, respectively. Both years receive high user ratings of 4.8/5 and 4.9/5, alongside a strong percentage of good deals at 34% and 31%, indicating favorable purchase opportunities for buyers seeking value without sacrificing quality. Additionally, the newer models from 2019 and 2021 offer excellent user satisfaction with ratings of 5/5 while still presenting reasonable price points of $53,814.48 and $63,457.04, making them attractive alternatives for those looking for more modern features at a competitive price.
Model years to approach with caution
In evaluating the Porsche Panamera model years, the 2010 and 2011 models emerge as the most suitable options due to their lower average prices of approximately $18,498 and $18,920 respectively, along with solid user ratings of 4.6/5. The 2013 model follows as moderately suitable, with a slightly higher average price of about $21,800 and a user rating of 4.5/5. The later models from 2012 and beyond appear less favorable; they have higher average prices and lower user ratings, indicating more constraints in terms of quality metrics and perceived value in the market.

The Porsche Panamera consistently impresses drivers with its blend of performance and luxury across model years. Owners frequently highlight its exceptional handling, powerful engines, and high-quality interiors that enhance the driving experience. While many appreciate its practical aspect as a four-door sedan, concerns about maintenance costs and value depreciation are common critiques. The sporty feel and advanced features are often favored, although some drivers find comfort compromised for performance at times.

What people say
Great combination of performance when needed and comfort for daily driving.
Excellent performance car with fun interior and great retained value.
This is an example of when its nice, its really nice, when its bad, its really bad. The First generation Panamera offers style, comfort, performance and a grand touring option to the Porsche line up. Driving a nice example of one it offers a fantastic experience with responsive handling, engine and transmission performance. The interior can be well optioned with different styling and comfort features. I have driven many of all of the trims from Base to Turbo S and generally found them to be a solid drivers car. That being said this car will burn your wallet faster than you can blink if you are not careful. You can get a lot of car for around 25-30k but it comes at the cost of expensive maintenance. In addition these cars are approaching more than 10 years old, and will require age related repairs. I would not recommend owning one of these unless you have double the asking price for repairs.
Car is beautifully styled and workmanship is exceptional. Gorgeous interior.
My first intro to the Porsche brand and family of vehicles. Always heard about their reputation, have always been curious if it holds up. It does. I prefer analog cars. I like sports cars for their focus on connecting you with the road and world around you. I prefer manual transmissions because it was rare to find an automatic that shifts at the same points in the same manner that I would in a wide variety of conditions (even though theyve gotten much better recently). Ive driven everything from motorcycles, forklifts, tractors, sports cars, sedans, vans, classic muscle cars, domestic and import brands, 18-wheelers and more. The Panamera was the first vehicle Ive ever owned that felt like it was designed by engineers that understand driving and want the same experience out of driving it that I do, combined with none of the downsides of owning a pure sports car (practicality, passenger comfort, storage space). Driving it is a pleasurable experience in any type of road or traffic conditions. Its relaxing when you want it to be, engaging in all the right ways, and downright sporty if you want to drive at a higher level. The chassis and suspension hide the weight SO well, and there are enough creature comforts implemented mindfully that it isnt annoying to drive if youre stuck on a straight road or in a commute. The PDK transmission is impressive and a notch above; while I still would enjoy a manual option, it makes so much sense in a vehicle like this. Its like being wrapped in a car enthusiast cocoon with room to live your life too. Never have I wanted to understand a car company or the peoples mindset behind engineering a drivers car like this. A truly incredible accomplishment. It doesnt feel like a compromise in any way. Im so glad it exists.
