Why it stands out
The Porsche Panamera stands out as the brand's first four-door sedan, seamlessly blending luxury and performance in a way that rivals traditional sports cars. With its sleek design, enhanced aerodynamics, and spacious interior, it offers a driving experience that is both exhilarating and practical. The latest generation features powerful turbocharged engines and advanced hybrid options, ensuring that every model delivers remarkable acceleration alongside cutting-edge technology.
Other model years to consider
For buyers seeking a Porsche Panamera, the 2019 and 2020 model years stand out as particularly suitable options. Both years offer an excellent user rating of 5/5 and a notable percentage of good or great deals, making them compelling choices in terms of value and user satisfaction. The 2019 model is available at a significantly lower average price compared to the more recent 2022 model, while still providing a premium driving experience that aligns with Porsche's market positioning.
The 2021 model year presents a moderately suitable alternative, featuring strong user ratings and competitive pricing within the segment. Though it has a slightly lower expert rating than its contemporaries, its overall appeal remains solid for those looking for a blend of performance and luxury. The earlier models from 2014 to 2016 also represent good value but may not offer the latest technology features found in newer versions, which could influence buyer preferences.
Model years to approach with caution
The Porsche Panamera model years of 2024, 2012, and 2013 should be approached with caution due to various factors impacting their value and customer satisfaction. For instance, the average prices for these years are relatively lower, but a high percentage of listings are categorized as not good or great deals, indicating potential hidden costs or issues. Additionally, user ratings vary significantly, with the 2024 model reflecting lower satisfaction levels compared to others, which may suggest inconsistencies in quality or performance that could influence long-term ownership experiences.

The Porsche Panamera consistently impresses drivers with its blend of performance and luxury across model years. Owners frequently highlight its exceptional handling, powerful engines, and high-quality interiors that enhance the driving experience. While many appreciate its practical aspect as a four-door sedan, concerns about maintenance costs and value depreciation are common critiques. The sporty feel and advanced features are often favored, although some drivers find comfort compromised for performance at times.

What people say
Great combination of performance when needed and comfort for daily driving.
Excellent performance car with fun interior and great retained value.
This is an example of when its nice, its really nice, when its bad, its really bad. The First generation Panamera offers style, comfort, performance and a grand touring option to the Porsche line up. Driving a nice example of one it offers a fantastic experience with responsive handling, engine and transmission performance. The interior can be well optioned with different styling and comfort features. I have driven many of all of the trims from Base to Turbo S and generally found them to be a solid drivers car. That being said this car will burn your wallet faster than you can blink if you are not careful. You can get a lot of car for around 25-30k but it comes at the cost of expensive maintenance. In addition these cars are approaching more than 10 years old, and will require age related repairs. I would not recommend owning one of these unless you have double the asking price for repairs.
Car is beautifully styled and workmanship is exceptional. Gorgeous interior.
My first intro to the Porsche brand and family of vehicles. Always heard about their reputation, have always been curious if it holds up. It does. I prefer analog cars. I like sports cars for their focus on connecting you with the road and world around you. I prefer manual transmissions because it was rare to find an automatic that shifts at the same points in the same manner that I would in a wide variety of conditions (even though theyve gotten much better recently). Ive driven everything from motorcycles, forklifts, tractors, sports cars, sedans, vans, classic muscle cars, domestic and import brands, 18-wheelers and more. The Panamera was the first vehicle Ive ever owned that felt like it was designed by engineers that understand driving and want the same experience out of driving it that I do, combined with none of the downsides of owning a pure sports car (practicality, passenger comfort, storage space). Driving it is a pleasurable experience in any type of road or traffic conditions. Its relaxing when you want it to be, engaging in all the right ways, and downright sporty if you want to drive at a higher level. The chassis and suspension hide the weight SO well, and there are enough creature comforts implemented mindfully that it isnt annoying to drive if youre stuck on a straight road or in a commute. The PDK transmission is impressive and a notch above; while I still would enjoy a manual option, it makes so much sense in a vehicle like this. Its like being wrapped in a car enthusiast cocoon with room to live your life too. Never have I wanted to understand a car company or the peoples mindset behind engineering a drivers car like this. A truly incredible accomplishment. It doesnt feel like a compromise in any way. Im so glad it exists.
