The Pontiac Montana has received mixed reviews from owners across its model years. Many appreciate its comfort, spacious interior, and reliability, making it a practical choice for families. Drivers favor the smooth ride and decent fuel economy, especially on long trips. However, there are significant concerns about mechanical issues and reliability, with reports of repairs needed for various components over time. Overall, the Montana is seen as a solid family vehicle but comes with some drawbacks that may deter potential buyers.

I love the dual doors but for safety sake I am glad I have only one powered door, on the passenger side. The kids will never open the door to traffic. I have had the van for almost 4 years and the cost has been very minimal so far. I would recommend the van to anyone looking for a reliable minivan.

Dependable vehicle, this is an 8 passenger extended length van with extra storage space in the trunk. Features front and rear heat and A/C, AM/FM, Front captains chairs, tinted windows, power windows, mirrors and locks. We've had this vehicle for 4 years and haven't had any major issues with it.

My van is my work horse. It carts my kids, my sister and mother and nieces, groceries, furniture, electronics, items for work, stuff for the baby.....LOTS of stuff for the baby!! It's perfect for the drive-in; my hubby and I just take out the back seats for us to sit, lay blankets and pillows down for the kids and we are all as comfy as can be! I love how the seats just fold up for extra space instead of having to yank them right out. I have often thought of getting something that is a little better on gas and a little newer....but then I look at old Betsy there in the driveway with the hole in the rocker panel (even though I get it sprayed before our Canadian winter)....but otherwise in perfect condition......and think, "how can I get rid of her? She perfect for me right now." Perhaps when the baby gets a bit older I'll take a look at a Dodge Journey but the baby is still under a year so until then......we'll just keep on loving our Montana EXT.

I bought it because I needed a van big enough for 7, I know these vans have have intake gasket issues, but in 255000kms, the engine was never touched. Tires, and maintance was all i put into this van, aside from the fact I put 3 drivers wheel into it. If I could find another low mileage one I would buy it.
