The Plymouth Neon has received generally positive feedback from owners across its model years, with many appreciating its fuel economy, reliability, and fun-to-drive nature. However, several owners noted issues with power, build quality, and overall comfort. While features like decent interior space and easy maintenance were highlighted, there were concerns about performance, especially in colder weather and during highway driving. Overall, the Neon is seen as a cost-effective option, ideal for budget-conscious drivers, but may not meet everyone's expectations for a dynamic driving experience.

one of the best compact cars available, very dependable but lacks power for the experienced driver, great first car, easily modded, great gas mileage and surprisingly fun to drive. i would recommend this car to anyone looking for a good dependable American made car.

Performance - better aceleration then the KIA sportage for the same Hp (130 hp) Build Quality - good. car is 13 years old, has over 200,000 km and is working fine. only problem is that the speedometer doesnt work sometimes but its a curent problem Appearance - outside and inside isnt anything special Cost of ownership - amazing gas mileage. over 500 km per tank (tank of ~47.5 L). so far no major problem Fun Factor - fun to drive

It is a 4-cylinder-2.0 liter engine. It is cute, great on gas, and just awesome to drive! I would never be afraid to drive it anywhere. It is very reliable and a great car.

the car is very common and has an unappealing and unoriginal exterior, but very sleek and inviting interior. It has very sluggish and dull performance in town, but prooves champion in fuel mileage for a '99. Would be a good family car or daily driver.
