Reviewed a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 4 Dr 350SDL Turbodiesel Sedan on Oct 16, 2007
The fit and finish, both interior and exterior, of the 1991 350SDL was as fine as could be. The 3,800 lb car got almost 30 miles per gallon (when diesel was about 90 cents, or maybe about $1.50 today). There was room for elderly bank trust customers to ride most comfortably in the back. The car held up well to the harsh New England climate, but, as with all Mercedes, had no traction in snow.

The Mercedes-Benz 350-Class was equipped with a 3.5-liter, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that provided more power at high speeds than standard diesel engines, making it a great highway car. Despite its heaviness, drivers have commented that the Mercedes 350 handles well and generally gets good gas mileage. Standard features include a 4-speed automatic transmission, anti-lock brakes, power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning.
