Which Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mazda CX-30 offers these trims:

• S: The entry trim gives you the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic transmission, and AWD, making it the starting point for the lineup.

What Mazda CX-30 do most buyers choose?

The Mazda CX-30 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right trim, mileage, and price. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and broader availability.

What is the Mazda CX-30's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. One year is essentially flat to slightly higher, while the rest show declines of varying size. The biggest drop is a double-digit move, so recent-model pricing has softened noticeably in at least one case.

The 2023 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2023, 2022, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mazda CX-30 safe?

• 2026: 8/10
• 2024: 10/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10

• 2020: 10/10

The 2026 Mazda CX-30 includes standard driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a safe exit alert.

For the safest used buy, the 2020 and 2024 models both post the highest confirmed score of 10/10.

Should I buy a used Mazda CX-30 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.92% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −4.39%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 39.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 39.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $23,266. The Mazda CX-30 offers an upscale cabin and a fun-to-drive character that make it feel more premium than many small crossovers.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: All CX-30 models have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but higher trim levels add a turbocharger. Without turbocharging, the engine makes a healthy 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. With the turbo, it cranks out 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque when running on regular gas, or 250 hp/320 lb-ft on premium.
• Tech: Mazda Connect is the name of the CX-30’s infotainment system, and it comes with two different screen sizes and varying levels of functionality. In the S, you get an 8.8-inch display, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB-C ports, and basic voice recognition technology.
• Safety: For 2026, Mazda has enhanced the drivetrain with a brake-based limited-slip differential to improve traction in a variety of driving situations.
• Starting price: Prices range from $27,870 to $39,395, including the $1,495 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
