What Lexus IS do most buyers choose?

The Lexus IS years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right color, trim, and price. They also often sit in a sweet spot between newer features and broader availability.

What is the Lexus IS's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The declines are generally modest, with only one year showing a gain. That points to a market where prices are easing in many places rather than moving sharply in one direction.

The 2015 and 2023 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2021, 2015, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The IS 350 has a 3.5-liter V6 engine making 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, and it is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined.
• Tech: Two 12.3-inch displays greet occupants, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
• Safety: For 2026, the IS upgrades from the Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) 2.5 driver-assistance tech to version 3.0, and the list of features is a long one.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
