Used Land Rover LR2 for Sale near Oklahoma
Land Rover LR2 Overview
Introduced to the U.S. in April 2007 as a 2008 model, the LR2 is a compact SUV from British automaker Land Rover. It replaces the Freelander in the Land Rover lineup, and is smaller than the Range Rover and LR3, with a 104.7-inch wheelbase. As far as off-road stats are concerned, the LR2 has a ground clearance of 8.3 inches and can navigate safely through nearly 20 inches of water.
The LR2 is more powerful than the Freelander it replaced, with a new 3.2-liter, 24-valve, all-aluminum six-cylinder engine that produces 230 horsepower. The engine, which was developed by Volvo, is mounted horizontally in the engine bay. It is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with normal, sport, and manual-shift modes, and powers a full-time four-wheel-drive system.
The LR2 is well-equipped with a number of cutting-edge features, including Electronic Traction Control, Roll Stability Control, Hill Descent Control, Corner Brake Control, and Dynamic Stability Control, which adjusts power and braking in an emergency situation to control skidding.
One of its best features, however, is the Terrain Control system, which enables the driver to adjust the LR2's engine, transmission, brakes, traction control, and stability control system for optimal driving in various conditions. By turning a knob located on a panel on the console, the driver can select from four modes, including normal, gravel, snow, and sand.
Drivers of other Land Rovers will find the LR2's cabin familiar, spacious, and well-equipped with such standard features as leather-trimmed seats, a dual-panel sunroof, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a nine-speaker AM/FM audio system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer and an MP3 input jack.
In addition, the LR2 is available in hot new colors, like Tambora Flame Metallic exterior paint and Dark Eucalyptus interior trim.

The Land Rover LR2 impresses owners with its stylish design, comfortable ride, and off-road capabilities, making it a solid choice for those who appreciate luxury and ruggedness in one package. Many drivers appreciate its powerful performance and well-appointed interior, along with the standout sound system. However, some complaints arise regarding limited cargo space and fuel efficiency, with several noting that it might not be the best long-term or city driving option.

What people say
The LR2 is quality and luxury combined. With very low miles and great condition this was a good buy. It would be nice if the infotainment system had better directions, I figure out how to use the navigation. The LR2s I4 delivers great power.
Performance is very good, compared to other soft-roaders, as the manual gear changing option (in the automatic gear) helps a lot in controlling the pace of the vehicle, wouldn't have missed the option for paddle shifters. The build quality is still rock solid, with no creaks and sounds emanating from the cabin. The appearance is definitely against the present trend of having soft looking softroaders, with better presence, commanding view and that tall grille, reminding everyone of the Land Rover genes, together with the side vents and the roofline. The ownership hasn't been bothersome, the mileage is probably not the best in town, but with careful driving and having cruise control for most of the time, helps deliver better avg. mileage. The manual shift control really does help. With the sixth gear engaged in less than 60kmph, its very helpful (quite unlike my Passat CC, in which the sixth gear is engaged at 70kmph or higher). Fun, definitely a lot of fun. The ride is very comfortable and the seats - truly awesome. The drive itself isn't like a sports car (definitely the VW CC is better in this dept.), but its not like most other off roaders. There is no other softroader, that can match the ride and on& offroad capabilities of LR2, period.
My wife is thrilled with this purchase.Beautiful car with all amenities in excellent working condition; exceptional smooth quiet ride
Best handling ice and snow car I've ever had. Not much luggage capacity, but frankly, I don't usually have that much luggage. Perfect for a few pairs of skis and a friend or two. Not to mention great gas mileage...
Beautiful vehicle and nicely appointed both inside and out. Excellent value for the money. Very sturdy and reliable. Highly recommend
