Used Jeep Grand Cherokee for Sale near Lordsburg, NM

How much does the Jeep Grand Cherokee cost in today's market?

Used Jeep Grand Cherokee prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee's current nationwide average price is $22,251, and its lowest point over the past year was $21,504. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the Jeep Grand Cherokee earns strong owner approval across the lineup, and its appeal comes through clearly in both owner feedback and expert reviews. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and luxury feel, along with its strong performance and off-road capability. The model also stands out for its stylish design and premium cabin materials, especially in higher trims.

Expert reviews rate the 2015 and 2017 models among the highest across all years.

The main tradeoffs show up in fuel economy, value, and some cabin or tech complaints on recent years, so the best used examples are the ones where you balance the features you want against the price you pay.

34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Jeep Grand Cherokee models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently praise the Grand Cherokee for its comfort, capability, and upscale feel, and those strengths show up across many model years. The strongest feedback also points to a roomy cabin, solid performance, and a versatile character that works well for both daily driving and weekend use.

• Owners rate the Jeep Grand Cherokee between 4.4 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-documented example with a clean history and service records, especially on older model years.

What should I look for when buying a used Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Across all model years, at 74.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep expects the new Hurricane four-cylinder engine to return up to 27 mpg combined. That’s a meaningful improvement over the V6 engine’s 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway)

Which Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers these trims:

• Laredo: The entry trim uses the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, cloth upholstery, and Jeep’s Quadra-Trac I 4WD system; it suits you if you want the most affordable path into the lineup.
• Laredo X: This version keeps the V6 and 10.2-inch touchscreen while adding the same core setup as Laredo with a slightly more upscale presentation.
• Laredo Altitude: This trim adds the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, black 18-inch wheels, leatherette upholstery, the Selec-Terrain system, and Active Drive Assist availability; it is a strong value pick if you want more tech and a more distinctive look.
• Limited: This trim adds leatherette upholstery, available 20-inch wheels, and the option for a surround-view camera system, making it a well-rounded choice for many shoppers.
• Limited Altitude: This version adds bigger wheels and a blackout treatment for a more upscale appearance.
• Limited Reserve: This trim adds genuine leather upholstery, a standard steel suspension tuned for comfort, and a more premium cabin feel; it is the best-value trim if you want a richer interior without going all the way to the top.
• Summit: The top trim adds the Hurricane 4 Turbo engine, 21-inch wheels, a black roof, genuine leather upholstery, a 19-speaker McIntosh system, a front-passenger touchscreen, height-adjustable air suspension, and Quadra-Drive II 4WD with a two-speed transfer case.

What Jeep Grand Cherokee do most buyers choose?

The Jeep Grand Cherokee years with the most listings are 2024, 2022, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a strong mix of availability, pricing, and newer features. They also give you more choices across trims and equipment levels, which makes it easier to find the right fit.

What is the Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it creates more room for value. The largest drops are concentrated in the newer model years, while the older years show smaller declines. That pattern suggests you can find meaningful savings across much of the lineup.

The 2017, 2014, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

• 2026: 6/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 4/10
• 2020: 3/10
• 2019: 4/10
• 2017: 7/10
• 2016: 7/10
• 2015: 9/10
• 2014: 8/10

The expected array of driver-assistance features is standard, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. Jeep also makes blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors standard—all very helpful features for a vehicle of this size.

For the safest used buy, the 2015 and 2022 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Jeep Grand Cherokee now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −13.3% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −8.4%.
• Deal availability: The 2024 model has 37.9% good and great deals.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $31,462. The Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a strong blend of comfort, capability, and upscale character that makes it appealing across many model years.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The Hurricane 4 Turbo engine delivers 324 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while Jeep expects up to 27 mpg combined.
• Tech: A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen is now available on Laredo Altitude and higher trim levels, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity remain part of the Uconnect 5 setup.
• Safety: Active Drive Assist is available starting on the Laredo Altitude trim, and Jeep says it improved the system’s behavior for 2026.
• Starting price: The Laredo trim starts at $40,410 with the mandatory destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
