The INFINITI M45 has garnered a positive reputation for its powerful engine, luxurious interior, and strong overall performance across various model years. Owners particularly enjoy the comfortable seating, premium sound system, and the unique luxury of a rare sedan. However, some common concerns include handling issues, tight rear-seat space, and electronic maintenance problems. Despite a few downsides, many drivers find the M45 to be an appealing alternative to competitors like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

This is a great car. I was shopping for a E550 when I test drove this M45. The performance and handling are great for a sedan. The rear wheels adjust slightly when cornering giving you an interesting sensation in your "seat" the first few times you go hard into a corner. The 330+ HP and torque really pull with medium to full acceleration. I bought it with 19K miles four years ago and I have 110K on it now (05/20/13). Great running car, high reliability, lower maintenance costs compared to other luxury cars, and fun to drive. Seems to like to run at or above (not that I would know about this) the speed limit on the highway and is very comfortable for long trips with heated and cooled front seats. This car is making it hard for me to find a replacement. Features like keyless entry and push button start (without having to remove your key fob from your pocket), two sun visors per side (so you can have one in front and one to the side for those winding drives into the sun), GPS, voice activated Blue Tooth, etc are easy to get used to once you have them. I don't like the styling of the new M (2010-????) - to me it looks too much like the G and if you're going to pay more for the larger car, casual observers should be able to easily tell the difference. If you're able to find this model style with lower mileage, I believe you're going to be very happy with your purchase. Enjoy!

Smooth and powerful through the full of gear range. Great fit and finish last through years of ownership. Technology package years ahead of the rest of the industry. Dirving is pure pleasure, handles curves and rough spots well. No issues.

Depending on mileage & condition will determine the value . Any Infiniti M45 can be compared to the BMW 5 Series , Mercedes Benz E- Class , Toyota Avalon & many more ! This car has more features then most cars today . For example , premium sound , leather seats , cooled & heated seating , navigation etc !

Introduced in 2003, the Infiniti M45 was the first luxury midsize sedan Nissan marketed in North America. Designed to compete with offerings from Lexus, BMW, and Acura, the M45 caught on with its 2005 retooling; the emphasis moved from size and plush interiors to high-tech comfort and a wonderland of gadgets.
Of course the Infiniti M45 has adaptive cruise control, power everything, a high-end Bose audio system, and all the safety features the most neurotic driver could wish for. As of the 2006 model year, the M45 has been Bluetooth-enabled, which makes it a favorite of Silicon Valley types as well as computer-minded tuners.
Another selling point of the Infiniti M45 is its muscle-car engine, a 4.5-liter V8 with an output of 325 horsepower and 336 lb.-ft. of torque. Its automatic transmission has manual shift control, which gives added responsiveness (as does its available four-wheel steering).
Bottom line on the Infiniti M45? It's got a lot of oomph for a luxury sedan, but lacks the strong brand identity of competitors like the BMW 5-Series or the Lexus GS. And if you're considering a Cadillac instead, you may be swayed by the M45's high-tech features.
