The Ford Sierra has earned a loyal following over the years, with many owners appreciating its combination of performance, comfort, and unique styling. Reviewers have often highlighted its enjoyable driving experience, especially in modified versions that deliver plenty of power. However, there are consistent complaints about reliability, with some drivers facing engine issues and concerns about maintenance costs, especially with older models. Overall, despite its quirks, the Sierra remains a fun option for driving enthusiasts and classic car lovers.

Performance is stunning. It delivers well over 205 horsepower to the rear wheels only. The turbo kicks in with a gigantic push in the back, leaving everyone behind in a cloud of tire smoke as the Michelin Pilot Exaltos squeal for grip on the tarmac. The Borg/Warner Tremec T5 is a precise gearbox, but it wants to be handled with notice. It will deliver faultless, precise and quick shifts. The Cossie is known for being expensive to maintain. The Cosworth specific parts are expensive, but there are many dedicated sellers. The only expenses I had, were for new parts after I broke off some parts in an over- enthousiastic effort to tighten the fan belt. Ow, whell, bugger, them parts are expensive.... The appearance of my Cozzeh is completely lacking. Only people who know them, will tell you it's a Cosworth. Otherwise, it looks like a normal family saloon car. The fun factor is only in driving it. It delivers an enormous punch, and it bites the tarmac like there's no tomorrow. It is hard to describe, but there aren't many cars today that handle this well. The suspension is rock solid and gives you the feeling that it can handle any situation that you'll get her in. But beware if you push it too far, then you'll never recuperate.

Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth (2WD). What more can i say about this awsome motor, stage 2 tuned to 275 bhp and all this in the 90's. When matches with a K&N induction kit and Bailey piston dump valve the car sounded like a missile coming down the road. The engines can be tuned to 500bhp no problem, the original engines were actually de tuned to 220 bhp. The only downside to the 2wd is the Borg Warner gearboxes, they dont have any syncromesh on reverse, I went through 3 gearboxes!!!!!

this is an 89 sierra XR4X4 2.9 v6 EFI not many left now, they go stink and stick to the road, nothing computerized to go wrong, its a case on put ya foot down and hand on tight, its one of the only older cars that you could go in to a island at 100 and come out the other side, not for the less experienced driver as no traction control if you cant handle the power it will hurt you
