Customers say

The Chrysler New Yorker has consistently impressed owners with its luxurious comfort, spacious interiors, and smooth ride over the years. Drivers often rave about its plush seating and reliable performance, describing it as a 'living room on wheels.' However, some common critiques include a desire for more power, along with challenges in repairs and maintenance, particularly due to its parts availability. Overall, it's cherished for its elegance and comfort, while some owners find issues with power and maintenance costs.

The Boat was a fun car. Big and heavy and powerful. Yet probably not as fast as any modern car. But it could tow a boat! And it was one too! The color was cool. Almost black, it was on the slightly purple side of dark dark blue. Very regal. Great handling for a big car, thanks to the torsion suspension. And with a square steering wheel and a push-button transmission selector (up on the left hand side of the dash) it was a rolling conversation piece. And did I mention it was like driving your living room? The steering was so light and the car was so heavy that you could get the car to oscillate left and right down the road such that the steering wheel would actually be moving counter to the hood! But a small child could parallel park it. It's probably sitting in a garage somewhere.

Performance- In a straight line this car is awesome! as long as you don't have to steer or stop. Even with an auto it'll burn rubber until it shifts into 2nd even without hitting the brakes. Build Quality- The mechanics are tough as nails, its been reverse dropped and forward dropped many times and still drives great, the original 413 was still running and had never been rebuilt when I pulled it out in favor of a 440 Appearance- Its boxy, but it has style, I love the interior. You have to be brave to drive a car that has so many implements of death bolted to the interior. Its extremely fun to drive because I never worry about breaking it, drive it hard then put it away till the next time you want to beat on it.

Everything about this car I loved. Even it's little foibles. It handled decent for in city driving. Got up and moved when I wanted it to. And it wasn't that expensive to run either if you learned to work with some of the qwerks. Overall I loved this car and miss it dearly.

This has been my favorite car for the last 18 years. I bought the 93 because I survied a head on crash in my 92, the car was totaled but I'm still alive. Never felt saver in a car. Great on long trips and just getting back and forth to work. Comfortable, great pick up and a lot of luxury features I missed on my last 2 cars. Heated side view mirros, automatic adjusting rear view mirror, power seats with memory for 2 drivers, Huge trunk and the back seat leg room is roomy enough to be confused with a limo. This car has been my baby. We have kept it well maintained and it has served us well. Would buy another one in a heart beat if they still made it.
