Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist
• Infotainment: 11-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in apps, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated 27 mpg combined (26 mpg city, 29 mpg highway)

Which Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox offers these trims:

• LT: The LT starts the lineup with standard chrome grille mesh, 17-inch wheels, cloth seats, and the core tech and safety setup, making it the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• Activ: The Activ adds a more prominent lower front fascia, more chrome trim, all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels, and unique microfiber and Evotex seats for buyers who want the most rugged-looking version.
• RS: The RS adds more black trim, a wider grille, standard 19-inch wheels, and a flat-bottom steering wheel, giving you the sportiest appearance in the lineup.

What Chevrolet Equinox do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Equinox years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider spread of prices and deal quality. That usually makes it easier to find the right trim, mileage, and condition for your budget.

What is the Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you're shopping used because prices have generally moved lower. The declines are especially sharp on several recent and mid-cycle years, while a few older and newer examples have eased down more modestly. Overall, the table points to broad downward movement rather than stability.

The 2024, 2016, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Chevrolet Equinox now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2026 model is at −11.02% versus a year ago, and the 2025 model is at −11.06%.
• Deal availability: The 2026 model has 38.8% good and great deals, and the 2025 model has 38.1%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The only available engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four making 175 horsepower, and AWD models are rated at 203 lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: An 11-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.3-inch touchscreen are standard, and the Equinox retains wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: The latest model adds a standard suite that includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert with braking, and rear park-assist.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
