Customer summary
The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing has garnered positive attention from drivers for its powerful performance, agile handling, and engaging driving experience across all model years. Owners particularly enjoy the responsive TTV6 engine and smooth manual transmission, which enhance the overall thrill of driving. On the other hand, some drivers express disappointment regarding the noise levels compared to what was advertised and desire for higher quality interior materials. There are also mentions of cramped backseat space and a premium price tag, which may deter some buyers seeking a compact option.

About the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing
The CT4-V Blackwing is a performance version of the CT4, Cadillac’s smaller sedan. While there is also a standard CT4-V, the Blackwing gets more extensive upgrades, including a more powerful engine and an available manual transmission.
What are the advantages of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing?
- Powerful engine
- Fun to drive
- Manual transmission available
What is the best Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing model year?
The CT4-V Blackwing has only been around since the 2022 model year, with no significant changes to speak of.
What are the disadvantages of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing?
- Cramped back seat
- Not much cargo space
- Expensive
Comparison: Is the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing better than the Cadillac CT5-V?
The CT5 is Cadillac’s larger sedan, and like the CT4 its lineup includes both V-Series and Blackwing performance models. The CT5-V is the lower-level model. It’s priced below a CT4-V Blackwing, but the two models are aimed at different audiences, with the CT4-V Blackwing appealing to dedicated driving enthusiasts.
Is the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing a reliable car?
The CT4-V Blackwing is still too new to judge long-term reliability. Keep in mind that this is a performance car, though, requiring more attention than a standard CT4. Be prepared to spend more on brakes and tires.
Is the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing worth the cost?
The CT4-V Blackwing is one of the best sports sedans available today. So while it’s not cheap, it’s well worth the cost if you’re a driving enthusiast. This limited-production, enthusiast-focused model is also likely to become a future collectible, so a well-maintained example could be a worthwhile investment.
