Overall, the BMW M6 is celebrated by owners for its thrilling performance and luxurious features, including a powerful engine and stylish design. Many drivers appreciate the exceptional handling and fun driving experience that comes with the vehicle. However, some concerns have been raised regarding reliability, particularly with specific components, as well as high ownership costs and poor fuel economy. While the interior quality is often praised, some feel it lacks certain advanced features. The M6 stands out as a truly enjoyable ride for those who prioritize power and elegance.

This is the best car I have ever owned--and I have had some nice ones, including other BMW's. I don't even care that it cost over $100K new-- this is truly a world-class ride. It is supremely quiet, comfortable, mild-mannered at cruising speeds and very well-appointed. However, when you put your right foot down, this very civilized machine becomes an absolute rocket! It accelerates so effortlessly that you will think the speedometer is reading in kph instead of mph. Only when you notice that every other car on the road has suddenly become oncoming traffic do you grasp how awesomely fast this machine is. It will easily top 200 mph (once the idiotic 155 mph governor is disabled) and do it with utter aplomb. Fortunately, the massive brakes and excellent Michelin tires are up to the task of handling all that energy when it comes time to change speed and/or direction. I really like the SMG paddle shift transmission, although it does take some getting used to. There are not enough superlatives to describe what driving this car is like. Even the sound system is fantastic. I absolutely love it. BMW (and everyone else) will have to create something unimaginably spectacular to get me to even consider trading it. Did I mention it is beautiful too?

This car is amazing! If you like a car with a sporty and beautiful exterior paired with a nicely appointed interior with great sound and especially power and performance, this is the car for you! The only down side-manual transmissions are very hard to find. Many are mislabeled as being 6 speed manuals but when you see the photos, they are not.

Overview
Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show, the BMW M6 is a new take on a classic sports model. The new M6 hit the market for the first time in the 2007 model year, and response to the high-end performance car was ecstatic.
The BMW M6 is based on the E63/E64 platform (also known as the "6-Series platform"), which was designed with an eye to roadworthiness and agility. BMW's most powerful engine, a 5.0-liter, 40-valve V10 with an impressive 500-horsepower output, takes the M6 from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.
The effect of all this power is heightened by the M6's lightweight design, which relies on a carbon-fiber roof to keep curb weight low. Drivers and reviewers praise the M6's speed and handling; it looks like this addition to the Beemer universe will have a long and popular life.
