Which BMW M2 trim should I buy?

• M2: The standard 2023 M2 brings the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, rear-wheel drive, a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, Adaptive M Suspension, strong brakes, and a functional cockpit with usable trunk space. It suits you if you want the core M2 experience with the full performance character intact.

What BMW M2 do most buyers choose?

The BMW M2 years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Higher-volume years tend to draw more shoppers because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right color, mileage, and price combination. They also usually make it easier to shop for a deal without narrowing your search too much.

What is the BMW M2's resale value?

Overall, the table shows a mixed picture: one year has dropped sharply, one has edged down slightly, and one is essentially flat. That gives used buyers a chance to find value in the softer-priced years while still seeing that some newer examples are staying close to their prior pricing.

The 2024 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2024, 2025, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $69,421. The BMW M2 offers a compact, driver-focused character that makes it especially appealing if you want a serious sports coupe with everyday usability.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest model pairs a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 453 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, and it returns 16 mpg city, 24 highway, 19 combined.
• Tech: The latest model brings BMW’s iDrive 8 interface, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
• Safety: The latest model adds automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Starting price: The vehicle’s base MSRP is $62,200.
