• 840i xDrive: This version adds all-wheel drive to the 840i formula for extra traction.

What BMW 8 Series do most buyers choose?

The BMW 8 Series years with the most listings are 2025, 2023, and 2024.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choices in body style, trim, and price, which makes them easier starting points when you want to compare listings. They also tend to be the years shoppers return to most often because inventory is deeper and deal percentages stay competitive.

What is the BMW 8 Series's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which creates better entry points for used buyers. The sharpest drops are concentrated in the newer years, while the older years show smaller declines. That pattern gives you more room to shop for value without giving up the 8 Series’s premium character.

The 2019, 2020, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
