Reviewed a 2012 BMW 6 Series on Feb 13, 2025
The 2012 BMW six series grand coupe is remarkably an Exceptional, reliable one of a kind vehicle. I’ve owned two of them “650i Trim & 640i 4door”. Hands down, no complaints whatsoever during the time of which I owned/leased BMW model. Furthermore, the price point for its time in our era is impeccably underpriced in my opinion (used car/depreciated value per KBB to date). However, nevertheless, it’s good that it’s a hidden GEM that is slept on. Allowing the 2012 BMW to uphold its uniqueness and elite status quo, which I appreciate and value second to reliability, and this is coming from a man in my early mid 30s that has owned one of each model trim in the six series from 2012< it being my favorite car that I’ve ever “owned/leased/Pre-Own purchases”. Ref; BMW GrandCoupe’ 640i and 650i.

Awesome car, super fun to drive engine can be both pricey and problematic if your careful or unfamiliar with its common issues but if u can get past that the car is a BLAST to drive/own & turns heads everywhere.

Good looking, sexy, solid, but heavy. Handling isn't exactly what you'd expect from a car of the genre. My 2008 is the revised edition.. and does look much better than the first gen.. arguably better than even the latest gen....probably the best German car value out there right now. These cars go cheap.. and the are really great vehicles.

Why it stands out
The 2015 BMW 6 Series stands out as a style-first luxury grand tourer that still puts driving enjoyment at the center of the experience. BMW’s 6 Series lineup was built around sleek design and strong performance, and the 2015 model fits that identity well. It is described as engaging and vigorous to drive, and it also has a comfortable cabin. Owners echo that appeal, praising its fun driving experience, luxurious feel, and strong performance.
What makes this generation especially distinctive is how much equipment and performance it packed into a dramatic shape. BMW gave the 6 Series a visual refresh in 2015 with new headlights and bumpers, and the car had already received a tech update in 2016 with a new 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen running iDrive 6.0. The lineup also offered driver-assistance features such as blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control, though most were optional. For buyers, that combination of luxury, technology, and character is a major part of the appeal.
There are tradeoffs, though. The back seat is snug even in the Gran Coupe, and the car is expensive to maintain. Reliability and service data on the model as a whole is thin, and the M6 is described as the most high-strung of the group. Even so, the 2015 BMW 6 Series remains attractive for shoppers who want a glamorous, rewarding car that feels special every time they drive it.
