What Audi A7 do most buyers choose?
The Audi A7 years with the most listings are 2018, 2017, and 2019.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 214 | 34.6% |
| 2017 | 187 | 33.7% |
| 2019 | 186 | 34.9% |

| 2016 | 161 | 35.4% |
| 2015 | 138 | 34.1% |
The highest-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a wider selection of examples at familiar price points. That usually makes it easier to compare trims, mileage, and condition while still finding a strong value.
What is the Audi A7's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | $26,791 | −11.13% |

| 2018 | $22,511 | −8.16% |
| 2016 | $16,896 | −7.37% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the model years listed, which can create better buying opportunities for used shoppers. One year shows a double-digit drop, while the others also moved lower by meaningful amounts. That pattern gives you more room to find value if you're shopping the used market now.
The 2016, 2018, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Why it stands out
The 2017 Audi A7 stands out as a luxury fastback that blends the A6 sedan’s platform, interior design, and technology with a more emotional, coupe-like shape. That formula gives it a sportier look than a traditional sedan while still offering more practicality than a two-door coupe. It was also positioned as a used luxury buy with a more affordable price tag, which helps explain its appeal to shoppers who want style and substance in one package.
For 2017, the first-generation A7 had standard quattro all-wheel drive and a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 rated at 310 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also came with leather seats, power heated front seats, push-button start, three-zone automatic climate control, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth phone pairing, 18-inch wheels, and a power sunroof. Premium Plus models added navigation with Google Earth, Audi’s MMI infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, 19-inch wheels, and front and rear parking sensors, while the Prestige trim added a premium Bose audio system, four-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats.
What makes the 2017 model especially appealing is the mix of upscale equipment and useful updates. In this generation, some versions were initially fitted with Apple CarPlay and Android, and the A7 had already received a mid-cycle refresh with a wider grille, revised front and rear fascia, updated LED lighting, a newer MMI system with a faster processor, and 4G LTE in-cabin internet connectivity. The main drawbacks are also part of the A7’s character: its sloping roofline creates a smaller rear seating area, and it was priced above the A6.
