After the drive, I told him I definitely wanted the car and I agreed to pay full price and he agreed. He also told me I could not take ownership until August 15. I agreed. The seller stated that "we need to make a formal action to solidify the deal. I made an online bid to confirm in addition to posting a message to him verifying that we had an agreement, which he responded to. Yesterday I get a message from him that he sold it to another person who offered him $300.00 more…….$11,800 AFTER OUR AGREEMENT. The seller also then raised the price on his listing after my full price agreement to make it appear that I did not meet his selling price. Very dishonest. I consider this a breach of contract and very poor business practices. I contacted TRED and they said the seller can do anything they want. There is no professional protocol or rules with TRED and they do not even offer to enforce honesty and verbal agreements. A HUGE flaw in their process. A seller can make a verbal agreement with you and then dishonor it at any time. Not worth your time to invest looking or driving any of their cars."
