Considering all the tales about Alfa build quality and electrical problems, this car is amazing. It's a diesel 2.5 Turbo, only built for the European market. It has been well looked after and drives like a dream. Chain, no timing belt. Getting in need of attention now (cosmetically.) Mind you, after being out today, needs some attention to drivers side, worn ball joint. Great gearbox, considering I rip through them to make the kids laugh. Great handling with good acceleration considering age....everything works. Spacious. LOVE IT! it is also black with tinted windows...MMMM is that a girl thing?

Its a real Alfa Romeo... No other car performs better in its segment. For its price and year this car its great and its looks pretty sportive. Today 13 years latter almost any national or brazilian car cant top it.

Performance for 1.8 NA motor it is amazing. Brakes are not so good. Fun Factor from 0-10 maybe around 12+++ :) Allays drive it whit smile :) Cost of Ownership- Fuel consumption for a 1.6 performance for 2.0 but it is 1.8 :)

I love the history of the maker, the power of the engine, the sound, the looks, the race pedigree, but most of all I love driving it! The way that it handles, sounds, feels, and makes me feel. If I could just say it also helps that with the 2.5 V6 under the bonnet it goes like stink!

These are now impossible to get since most of them fell apart and stopped working. I had my maroon 155 2.0 litre for 8 years buying it a 8 months old from a dealer. It was a great sports saloon, with a good four seats, unlike the GTs. It took us all over the UK and I only sold it when I had to. It was the third 155 I'd had, the previous two being 2.5 V6's. The were pretty quick when I first got them, but technology overtook them. I was sorry to see it go, although it had to. Huge boot, and a slot in the rear seat to allow skis to be carried.
