Used Acura TSX for Sale near Merced, CA
Acura TSX Overview
The Acura TSX was first introduced in 2004 as a replacement for the poorly-selling CL. It fits into Acura's line of cars between the sporty RSX coupe and luxury TL sedan.
The Acura TSX has had a 2.4-liter I4 since its inception, though Acura continues to tune the engine to raise the horsepower and torque. Current numbers put the horses at 205 and the torque at 166 lb-ft.
Standard features abound in the Acura TSX, including leather seats and steering wheel; power doors, windows, and seats; a sunroof; and many safety features.

The Acura TSX has garnered a strong following among owners over the years for its reliable performance, upscale interior, and enjoyable driving experience. Many drivers appreciate its sporty handling, fuel efficiency, and comfortable seating, making it a popular choice for both daily commutes and longer drives. On the downside, some have expressed concerns about the need for premium gas, limited rear legroom, and a few technological shortcomings, like older infotainment systems. Overall, the TSX is seen as a stylish and dependable sedan that offers great value for its features.

This 2012 TSX is my second one: I purchased a new 2012 TSX which is now my adult daughters car. It was a loss when Acura stopped this model after 2014. Its the best performance sedan in its class. I highly recommend it. This one is a manual 6 speed which is fun to drive.
Aa very nice entry level luxury car at the time of introduction. Good quality build with a good amount of features as standard. Only thing lacking was bluetooth connectivity like it’s big brother the TL. My purchase was a 6 spd manual with over 300,000 miles that was not only garage kept, but babied. Looks great outside with no faded paint and interior is very close to like new.
If you think that the Honda Accord is a reliable car, then meet its upscale cousin the Acura TSX. A tad smaller and better handling, this car rocks in four cylinder four door style compared to the staid Accord. That being stated, if you put it up against V6 Accord the Accord will beat out the Acura in a straight line. The TSX is no slouch either. Yes, the styling is forgettable. But, no, the TSX will not be quickly forgotten. Especially after a few spins in this sub-$30,000 vehicle. With that typical Honda four-cylinder engine that loves to rev, and sounds very good doing it, the TSX offers the wonderful blend of sharp handling, an upscale (again, understated) interior, a laundry list of standard equipment and even a navigation system that is one of the easiest I’ve ever used (should you need such a thing). It’s fun, fuel-efficient and even somewhat affordable – not to mention Honda reliable. But how could a “four-banger” ever earn a key into the sport sedan room, you ask? To which I say: Have you ever driven Honda’s four-bangers? Have you? The 2.4-liter, 200 horsepower, double-overhead cam i-VTEC motor actually doesn’t find its stride until you’re at about 6,800 rpm (that’s past red-line levels for us domestic folks). That means the TSX, with either its six-speed manual or five-speed automatic with Sportshift feature, finds its peak power, torque and acceleration when it is revving the most, not at the typically domestic low levels. Fun quotient just moved up a notch, or 10.
Okay so I bought a 2013 Acura TSX w/5 spd-automatic trans. and the 2.4L inline 4-cyl engine. It seemed like a great buy, and it mostly was. Performance-wise, it is actually quite a bargain. The 2.4L offers surprisingly good pickup when you need it. Press the accelerator down to the floor and it shoots forward unlike any 4-cyl I've driven before, even more than my friend's '04 TSX I test drove a few years back. I love the 2.4's engine sound at high rev's, once you approach it's 7,100-rpm redline it screams with egotistic swagger and it sounds great! 5-spd shifts very accurately and smoothly. Handling is fairly impressive but not incredibly sporty, mostly due to the fact that the 2nd-gen TSX has electric steering instead of the previous hydraulic system. The suspension is fairly stiff and somewhat unforgiving over poor roads so it's not the best for those wanting cushy-comfort rides. But overall not too bad of a ride on smooth and average roads. The interior is quite comfy, with great interior quality and attention to detail and pretty good seat, although the front passenger seat lacks some crucial lateral support, which I found rather strange. The rear seat is still tight, almost like the lifted the same one out the 1st-gen TSX an placed it here. Anyone over 5'11 won't be very happy back there. Interior tech is fantastic, with a standard iPod dock so I can rock out to my favorite songs. The navigation system works well and isn't overly complicated unlike most new cars these days. Controls are adequate as far as being easy to use. The trunk is actually pretty roomy for a sport compact. Exterior styling is great. I really dig the pointy front nose and flat minor rear decklid spoiler on the trunklid. Great job on the styling, Acura. The verdict: Acura has left me with a smile on my face and I'm satisfied with it's mild sporty character, great interior design, and sleek exterior styling. What a great value it represents. I greatly recommend it to someone who wants a nice sporty little car with intuitive interior tech, styling, and more. Thank you Acura.
Luxurious and sporty interior with sport bucket seats (front). Standard Leather w/heated seats, Standard Sunroof, standard HID (High Intensity Discharge) or Xenon Headlights, quick responsive i4 i-vtec engine with 200 horsepower.
