New & Used 2027 Kia Seltos for Sale nearSpindale, NC

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2027 Kia Seltos earns an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It backs that score with a roomy cabin and cargo area, plus advanced infotainment and safety technology that help it stand out in the small-SUV segment. The redesign also gives it a bolder presence and a more upscale feel than before, especially if you value style and features in a compact package.

The trade-offs are real, though: the standard engine is sluggish, and the ride can feel soft and springy at times. It also lacks standard blind-spot warning.

Even so, the Seltos is positioned as one of the best small SUVs for buyers who want space, features, and style, and 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is presented as a well-rounded new model with strong standard equipment and a generous warranty package, which supports confidence for everyday ownership. Its powertrain lineup is still a weak point, though, and the expert summary says the current engines are lacking until the hybrid arrives.

The performance notes also point to a 2.0-liter engine that is adequate for typical driving but slow when merging, passing, or climbing hills, with the CVT adding noise under load. On the upside, Kia’s warranty coverage is generous, including a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, plus five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and roadside assistance coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the non-hybrid powertrains may leave you wanting more refinement and efficiency over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment to verify. Focus on condition, feature operation, and whether the specific trim has the safety and convenience gear you want, since the base model leaves out some important items.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the most basic version, and it lacks standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The S is the recommended step up because it adds those missing safety features and safe-exit warning.
• Powertrain: Most trims use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, while the X-Line SX gets a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic and torque-vectoring AWD. The standard engine is slow in harder driving, so test it in the situations you care about most.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control are standard. Highway Driving Assist is available with the Prestige Package on the X-Line SX, and the package also adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera, additional side parking sensors, and rear automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, and the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Kia Connect connected services. The panoramic display with the digital instrument panel and climate panel is not standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Line SX is rated at 26 mpg in combined city and highway driving, and it averaged 26.5 mpg on the test route.

Which 2027 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, X-Line S, and X-Line SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it’s the least appealing choice if safety features matter to you because it does not include blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense only if you’re chasing the lowest price and are willing to give up equipment.
• S: This is the best-value trim because it adds the safety features the LX misses, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit warning. If you want the smartest balance of price and equipment, this is the one to target.
• EX: This trim builds on the lower models with more comfort and convenience, and it’s a better fit if you want a more polished daily driver without jumping to the pricier X-Line models.
• X-Line S: This is the first trim with standard AWD, so it’s the right pick if you want all-weather traction without going all the way to the top model.
• X-Line SX: This is the most powerful and most feature-rich version, with the turbocharged engine and the available Prestige Package bringing the fanciest displays, premium audio, ventilated front seats, camera-based visibility aids, and Highway Driving Assist. It’s the right choice if you want the most upscale Seltos experience.

For safety-minded shoppers, the key trim note is simple: the LX misses blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so the S is the trim to start with.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have some room to shop carefully without expecting a fire-sale environment.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 456 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 98.2% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2027 Kia Seltos does not yet have published crash-test ratings from IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite is strong: forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control all come standard. Kia’s hands-on-detection steering wheel is designed to reduce nuisance warnings when lane-centering is active.

There is one important trim-level gap to know about: the base LX does not get blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert. Kia recommends moving up to the S trim for that reason, and the Prestige Package on the X-Line SX adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera, additional side parking sensors, and rear automatic braking.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The redesigned model brings a bolder look, roomier cabin, and stronger infotainment and safety tech than before.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Seltos with the strongest mix of style, space, and technology, the 2027 is the one to focus on. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby model years or wait for the hybrid, which is expected to improve the powertrain story.
