New & Used 2027 Kia Seltos for Sale nearLaurel, MS

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2027 Kia Seltos earns an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out as a redesigned small SUV with stylish design, a roomy interior, and a cargo area that make it feel more practical than its footprint suggests. It also brings advanced infotainment and safety tech, which helps it feel more modern and more competitive than before.

The trade-offs are clear: the standard engine is sluggish, the ride can feel soft and springy at times, and it lacks standard blind-spot warning. Even so, the overall package makes it a strong fit if you want space, style, and features in a small SUV.

With 34.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market offers a fair amount of value-oriented inventory.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is presented as a brand-new model with a generous warranty package, which helps support confidence for used buyers. Its powertrain coverage runs 10 years/100,000 miles, and Kia also includes five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty coverage plus five-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance.

The expert evaluation also points to a solid everyday ownership profile, especially for typical small-SUV use. The standard 2.0-liter engine is described as adequate for normal driving, and the cabin and technology package suggest a vehicle built to feel substantial and well equipped.

Kia’s complimentary three-year Kia Connect Ultimate plan adds extra ownership value, and the model’s overall setup suggests lower stress for buyers who prioritize coverage and convenience. Long-term ownership risk should be manageable for used buyers, though the standard powertrain’s modest performance may matter more than durability if you regularly drive in demanding conditions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car you’re considering has no hidden damage or repair history. A pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile if you’re looking at a higher-trim example with more equipment, since you’ll want to confirm that all the added tech and driver-assistance features work properly. Focus on overall condition, feature operation, and signs of hard use rather than assuming every low-mileage example is equally well kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX trim lacks blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so the S trim is the safer starting point if you want a more complete feature set. The X-Line versions add standard all-wheel drive, and the X-Line SX brings the turbocharged engine and the most upscale equipment.
• Powertrain: Most trims use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, while the X-Line SX uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The standard engine is described as slow in harder driving, while the turbo setup is the stronger choice if you want more urgency.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control are standard. The base LX misses blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the Prestige Package on the X-Line SX adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera, additional side parking sensors, rear automatic braking, and Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: The standard infotainment touchscreen is 12.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. Kia Connect connected services are also part of the setup, and the available panoramic display adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel plus a 5-inch climate panel.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Line SX is rated at 26 mpg combined, and it averaged 26.5 mpg on the test route. The upcoming hybrid is expected to improve fuel economy, but no official figure is given here.

Which 2027 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, X-Line S, and X-Line SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it leaves out blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense only if you’re chasing the lowest price and can live with the leanest equipment list.
• S: This is the best-value choice because it adds the safety equipment the LX misses, including safe-exit warning, while keeping the core Seltos formula intact.
• EX: Choose this if you want a more comfort- and convenience-oriented version without jumping all the way to the X-Line models.
• X-Line S: This is the better pick if you want standard all-wheel drive and a more rugged-looking, better-equipped version of the Seltos.
• X-Line SX: This is the most desirable trim if you want the turbocharged engine, the richest feature content, and the most premium feel. It’s the one to buy if you want the strongest all-around version and don’t mind paying for it.

The safety package is strongest once you move beyond the LX, and the S trim is the cleanest recommendation if you want the best balance of price and protection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully but not so much that you can assume every listing is a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 546 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.5% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2027 Kia Seltos does not have published crash test ratings from IIHS or NHTSA yet.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite is broad and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Kia’s hands-on-detection steering wheel is designed to reduce nuisance warnings when lane-centering is active.

There are a couple of important trim-level gaps to know about: the base LX does not get blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert, and Kia recommends moving up to the S trim for a more complete safety setup. The Prestige Package on the X-Line SX adds a camera-based blind-spot monitor, surround-view camera, additional side parking sensors, rear automatic braking, and Highway Driving Assist.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The redesigned model brings a roomier cabin, stronger styling, and more advanced infotainment and safety tech.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Seltos with the most modern design and the strongest feature set, the 2027 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to shop carefully and compare nearby model years, especially if you can find a better-equipped example at a lower price.
