Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 6.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10. That score lines up with what you get from the Pacifica’s core mission: it stays a practical and powerful family minivan, with Stow ’n Go seating that gives you unmatched cargo flexibility and the only V6-plus-all-wheel-drive combination in the segment. It also brings good third-row legroom, so it works well if you need real people-moving utility without giving up capability. The trade-offs are just as clear. The new front-end styling may not be to your taste, the tech feels outdated, and real-world fuel economy trails EPA estimates. If you want a minivan that prioritizes versatility and available traction over efficiency and modern cabin polish, this still makes a strong case. Good and great deals account for 35.8% of listings, which gives you a decent amount of room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is presented as a practical family vehicle with a familiar powertrain and a straightforward cabin layout, which can help keep ownership simple. Its 3.6-liter V6 is paired with a nine-speed automatic, and the lineup drops the plug-in hybrid for 2027, leaving you with a single gas powertrain to consider. The Pacifica’s dependability story is also helped by its conventional hardware and standard physical climate controls, which reduce some of the complexity you might find in more tech-heavy rivals. Chrysler also includes a useful maintenance perk in the ownership equation with the broader value proposition of the lineup. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Pacifica’s refinement and fuel economy are not class-leading, so higher-mileage examples may feel more costly to live with than the numbers alone suggest.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies. You should still run a history report and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping for an AWD example or a higher-trim van with more equipment to verify. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific vehicle you’re considering. Key things to evaluate: Trim level: The base LX keeps the older logo, a more reserved fascia, and simpler headlights, while trims above it get the new face with the lit-up logo and sharper lighting signature. The base trim is the one to target if you prefer a cleaner look and want to avoid the more aggressive styling.; Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim except the base LX.; Safety package: Standard equipment includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera; it is available on Select and Limited and standard on Pinnacle.; Infotainment: Every trim gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is standard across the lineup, and the built-in navigation does not stand out as a reason to choose it.; Fuel efficiency: The FWD V6 is rated at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined mpg, while AWD drops to 17 city, 25 highway, and 20 combined mpg. Real-world fuel economy also trails EPA estimates.

Which 2027 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Select, Limited, Pinnacle. Here's the short version: LX: This is the value-oriented entry point, but it skips the more distinctive new front-end styling and cannot be paired with AWD. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are fine with the simpler look.; Select: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it unlocks the reworked front-end styling and makes AWD available for an added cost. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to start with.; Limited: This is the trim to consider if you want more comfort and convenience, including ventilated seats and the option to add the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package. It’s a strong choice if you plan to keep the van longer and want a more upscale daily experience.; Pinnacle: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the most fully equipped Pacifica, including the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package as standard. It suits you best if you want maximum content and are willing to pay for it. The safety-package setup is worth noting: the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package is available on Select and Limited and standard on Pinnacle.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts. Standard safety equipment across the lineup includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle. The main caveat is the Marginal IIHS result in the updated moderate-overlap front test, which keeps the Pacifica from earning a Top Safety Pick designation.

Should I buy a 2027 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?
