Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains a practical and powerful family minivan, and its biggest advantage is still Stow ’n Go seating, which gives you unmatched cargo flexibility. It also stands out as the only minivan in the segment that offers V6 power and available all-wheel drive, so you get a combination of utility and capability that rivals don’t match.

The trade-offs are real, though: the new front-end styling is polarizing, the tech feels outdated, and real-world fuel economy trails EPA estimates. If you want a minivan that prioritizes versatility and capability over the latest cabin tech or maximum efficiency, this still makes a strong case for itself.

Good and great deals account for 32.8% of listings, which suggests there’s at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is presented as a familiar, carryover-style family hauler with a proven V6 powertrain and no major mechanical reinvention for the year. Its core appeal is consistency: you’re getting the same practical packaging, available all-wheel drive, and Stow ’n Go flexibility that define the model.

The V6 is paired with a nine-speed automatic, and the powertrain is described as strong for the segment. Chrysler also includes standard maintenance-friendly touches like heated seats, while ventilated seats are available starting at the Limited trim. The overall picture is one of a vehicle that should feel straightforward to live with, even if its refinement and efficiency aren’t class-leading.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you may be trading proven utility for a vehicle whose fuel economy and cabin polish can disappoint over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the condition of the cabin, the operation of the sliding doors and seating mechanisms, and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim you’re considering. Since this model’s appeal depends heavily on convenience features and packaging, you’ll want to make sure everything works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX keeps the older-looking front end and simpler headlights, while trims above it get the new lit-up logo and sharper lighting signature. The base trim also skips the more upscale visual treatment, so if styling matters to you, you’ll want to compare it carefully against the higher trims.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim except the base LX.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera; it is available on Select and Limited and standard on Pinnacle.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is standard across the lineup, and the blind-spot camera view can take over the full display when activated.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive V6 is rated at 19 city, 28 highway, and 22 combined mpg, while all-wheel drive drops that to 17 city, 25 highway, and 20 combined mpg. Real-world testing came in below EPA estimates.

Which 2027 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Select, Limited, and Pinnacle.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the least expensive way into the Pacifica, but it’s also the trim that skips the newer front-end styling and cannot be paired with all-wheel drive. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and don’t care about the updated look.
• Select: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it unlocks the reworked front-end styling and makes all-wheel drive available for an additional cost. If you want the Pacifica’s core strengths without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to start with.
• Limited: This trim adds more comfort and convenience, including ventilated seats, and it’s the point where the available Enhanced Safety Sphere Package can make a lot of sense. It’s a strong choice if you want a more upscale family hauler.
• Pinnacle: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the most fully equipped Pacifica, including the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package as standard. It’s the luxury-leaning pick in the lineup.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package is available on Select and Limited and standard on Pinnacle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2027 Chrysler Pacifica?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 993 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica does not yet have a published 2027 NHTSA rating, but the model was last rated by NHTSA in 2026 and earned five-star ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, ParkSense rear park-assist with stop, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The optional Enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds a turn-signal-activated blind-spot camera and a ParkSense-activated front camera, and it is standard on Pinnacle.

The main caveat is the IIHS result: the Pacifica earned a Good rating in the small-overlap front test, an Acceptable rating in the updated side crash test, and only a Marginal in the updated moderate-overlap front test, which kept it from a Top Safety Pick designation.

Should I buy a 2027 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2027 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• The 2027 update gives you a fresh face, a new LX trim, and the same standout Stow ’n Go practicality and V6-plus-AWD combination that define the Pacifica.

The bottom line: If you want the Pacifica’s strongest mix of utility and capability, the 2027 is the one to target because it keeps the model’s signature strengths intact while updating the styling and trim lineup. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, especially if you can find the equipment you want at a lower asking price.
